Strip Club Reports

This is an article from the Projo and is very interesting detailed the economic impact of the new law. Sounds like it is having some significantly unintended consequences. Also the comments on the article wherein the paper released the names of the people arrested in the first sting are very telling. You guys can read them for yourselves, but they are overwhelmingly negative to both the RISP and the paper.

The city of Providence or the Providence Redevelopment organization, or something like that, has condemned all of Allens ave. They are doing this so they can buy up all of the property in that area along the waterfront and put condos and high end housing there. They did not offer cash for this so each property there has essentially no resale value and can be bought by the government on the cheap. This would mean Cheaters would have to go. There was a rumor that the state may take control of the port of Providence effectively ending this and no one as of yet has mounted a court challenge. Has anyone heard of this and is it serious?

IANAL but I think the way eminent domain works is that the state/city must pay fair market value (subject to judicial challenge) in order to seize property. The value is based on what the property would be worth if not condemned. Which, as a practical matter, is often fairly low anyway, but not zero. You can't prevail trying to challenge the principle of eminent domain in court, but you can challenge the valuation and compensation. Also, the power derives from the state, so it must have been explicitly granted to the city in statute (which I suspect is already the case).

Perhaps a member claiming to be a real lawyer can elaborate.

Wife and I went to CF, lots of hot chicks and a complimentary buffet that was very good.

Wife saw a new sign in the ladies room stating a penalty for more than one gal in a stall?

and another.

The gals are not allowed cabaret lower level and to keep there buts on the stage.

Second floor had cabarets but the gals were more hit of miss, no charge to go up during lunch time.

On my last few visits before the rule change very few dancers were still doing cabarets. Often times there was only one dancer on stage during most of the set. I have no problem with them moving it upstairs as long as there is no additional fee. I have a feeling that is probably only the case duing the afternoon.

Under the old rules there where no cabaret dances at night. Has that changed?

We were there mid day 12:00 to 2:00 no fee for upstairs with one or two girls on and downstairs had two to four girls. The place seemed very crowded when we left which is strange for a week day. There were also allot of girls that never went on stage and just hustled dances.

The old doors were also louvered, but went floor to near ceiling. My experience so far has been that the new doors do not impair operations.

Those are the same doors that have been there from the start. As for the girls, a lot of the girls that have been working there for years are still there and the fly by night type are gone. In my opinion it is better than before with most of the nasty type gone but still a lot of fun to be had without the hardcore hustle. I am mainly a day person so nights may be different.

I recently made the drive to Providence, during the day shift, and started at CF at #28.

I usually prefer the day shift, early in the week, as the girls are a little more low key. Not constantly hustling dances and like to hang out and talk over a drink, especially if you indicate you do want a dance after a nice little chat. Plus, the quality is often higher on average than what you'd find on the night shift.

My ATF, rumor has it, no longer works there (crud) so I tried to get a little info. And get a couple dances.

Met Ti.. Nice tight girl with dark hair, couple nice bits of ink and piercings (my type of dancer). She was pretty cool but not knowing me was easily distracted by other dancers she liked to associate with. (too much cross talk took away from the experience) She knew my ATF, but had no info so I settled for a few 2 for 1 dances. And it was worth it. Everything legit with her, but if you're cool with her she slowly increases the intensity until it's. Well, she really gives a great dance if you treat her with respect. I think with a couple more visits she'd be more cool to hang with before/between/and after the dances.

From there I went to CH on Allens, just hoping my atf had relocated there. No sign of her. I always like the day shift at any place in providence, but was a bit disappointed at who was working there this trip. Most were not worth spending a single. 01 to tip, regardless of the interaction you might get. I did see a really really nice one though. Dark skinned girl, fairly tall and really slim and fit. She was hot. And a couple. 01 tips for her she was suggesting a little interaction after she got off the stage. But I told her I'd just arrived and maybe I'd look her up later.

Then I found Bridgette. I've seen her there a couple times, always the day shift, and had yet to take the leap with her. I decided to get a topless and see if she still gave the same bit while dancing, and she did. She talks extremely dirty while dancing, suggesting all sorts of really interesting activities, and it's quite a turn on. I decided I had to find out for myself it it was more than just talk. And it turns out it's just talk. She's not a bad sort and had a very pretty face, but I should have stuck with the topless dances (which were quite hot) or looked for the other girl. But, at least now I know what the scoop is with her. I guess if I'd remembered her name before I could have rtff and known better.

So, still a fun trip. And even with the new laws in place and everything being totally legit, it's still a lot better than any place in MA for the interaction you get.

Ok here is the deal. Was at CF the other night and there was this girl Mya with huge tities. Kinda fat, not your average stripper, someone that normally could only make it at PP. Anyways she quotes$. 6 for 30 minutes or $1. 2 for an hour in the booth. Seems like a good deal = $2 per minute. Oh wait here is the funny part she then wants an additional $4 to $8 on top of that. After I stopped laughing I politely told her that $3 to $3. 6 depending on the service was the norm. Watch out for this girl.

Met a spinner, don't remember her name, anyway we agreed on $$ for some time behind the screens. When we were finished she insisted on $$ more. I was really unhappy and was going to complain to the bouncer, but decided to get some cash from the ATM and be done with her. Have been back there since and not seen this gilrl working anymore, hopefully they fired her ass. In any case if I do see her again, I will walk & complain to the management.

Wanted to see for myself how things had changed since I moved out of town (back up here for business/family), so I checked out CF this afternoon.

Seemed like typical regular afternoon crowd, talked to a few ladies and finally had some dances downstairs with a black & white duo. Black girl named Janet had a tight body, her white friend had some junk in the trunk but a good attitude. She also had three different names that she told me over the course of the evening. Anyway, you could tell they worked often as a pair and had the whole schtick down pretty well. Ended up spending a good amount of time with them, four songs downstairs and half an hour upstairs, $3.4 total damage for two of them together. They were grinding the hell out of me with a lot of stickwork included, but everything was through the pants, not direct contact. Their stated goal was to get me to pop, but it always takes more than a good grind for me to finish. Anyway, I was just looking for a fun time though, and they provided. I should note that the bouncer looked in on us at least 3 times during our time in the booth upstairs.

Also talked with a girl named Mariah, pretty top-and bottom- heavy, that was talking in explicit detail about her oral skills, wanted $1.3 to prove it, but she wasn't my type and I just wasn't up for haggling.

I'm not going to tell you how to conduct yourself in a strip club SUL. It's your wallet and you are certainly entitled to whatever comfort zone works for you. Just an FYI though, it's 2010 and we are in a recession. Customers are a lot harder to come by than strippers nowadays and club management knows that. Know what the prices are supposed to be before you go in and pay that price. if a dancer tries to hold you up for more afterward she isn't going to go to the bouncer if you refuse to pay it because she knows she is on her own.

About a year ago a stripper at CF tried to tell me that the Monday 2 for 20 special was only for the first two songs as she tried to get $220 out of me for the ten dances we had just completed. When I offered to call the house mother over and confirm this with her she shut right up and took the hundred dollar bill I was offering without saying another word. By the way, she was Dominican, never trust the Dominicans...

Times have changed. Unfortunately some girls are desperate and will resort to out-and-out lies if they think they can get away with it. Don't let them.

SUL and BG57: I completely agree that the "price is the price", but I (like SUL) have no clue who the house mom is at CF. I do know how to handle the price flux problem in a number of my local clubs, but only one RI club. I've never had a floating price issue at CF and have enjoyed my visits there. I avoid Cadillac R because of this very issue. My experience there began with a full out professional hustle/con/scamming from Sydney, which I fended off nicely with her spitting invectives at me. The Cadillac R's lack of price structure left me too uncomfortable to play there, but it was an interesting one time visit. While stating this issue, BG57 makes a good point about identifying a solution to a problem that prevents you from enjoying what might be your optimal club. I never pursued the solution for my issue, because that club wasn't optimal for me. I also have no issue with the fact that many people truly enjoy my non optimal club!

I used the house mother as an example because CF has one on every shift. Trust me whatever authority figure you choose it will shut the dancer right up. They know they are freelancing and they also know it won't be supported by the club. The Caddy has always been the worst for this but it has been spreading to other clubs. The Dominican chick that I talked about is the only one who has ever tried the 2 for $20 scam on me but I'm sure it happens with other dancers as well.

Your advice is spot on. I've never paid enough attention to identify management at CF. I do know who to discuss it with at other venues. I also think there is an advantage when your a known quantity in managements eyes as well. Someone who is acknowledged to be a reasonable customer will have a better chance if the discussion really has to take place. That you approach management first and appear reasonable in that pursuit makes the better case for support on your claim. I've not chosen to do so in my experience, but I am comfortable enough to do so at a couple of venues. I wasn't happy about a matter one time locally and and was approached by management offering to assist. I told them nicely no - that to not take repeat entertainment from the specific dancer would cure any issue.

As a long time strip club patron, of course I've come across this here and there. The price structure at CF is pretty standard, unlike CL. I once had a girl at CF tell me after 4 dances that her dances were 30 instead of 25. I handed her a hundred and told her that's all I was giving her and I walked back to the bar. She went to the housemom and the housemom came over to me and asked what was going on. The housemom's there know I frequent the place and am a good customer. I told her the scam the dancer was trying to pull and that I gave her a hundred and was done with her. The housemom had no problem with me and went and talked to the dancer, who knows what was said, but she wasn't fired or anything like that. Needless to say I never went near the dancer again.

CL is a different animal, a lot more scamming goes on there. I always ask before I go upstairs what the dancer's dance price is. Not to say even after that I haven't tried to be scammed. Several dancers have told me their price was 25 but then when we were "checking out" at the cashier upstairs, they tried telling me I needed to pay the 5 that they needed to pay the cashier for each dance. I've told them no and walk away. What's the worst that could happen, I'd get kicked out? I doubt it in this economy.

Nice job not only spotting the scam but holding your ground.

I have made occasional trips to Bridgeport for some time now because of the fun that can be had in the clubs there. More than once girls there have told me that if I like Bridgeport clubs I'd love Providence clubs. I was planning to make my first trip there this week and started reading this forum for information about where to go and have read about new laws. Have I really missed it? Perhaps someone could PM me if they prefer that over the forum. Help!

If you are looking for the kind of blatant extras that go on in some of Bridgeport's clubs you are too late by about two months. I haven't been to Bport in a while but what I remember was pretty wild. Rampant extras are off the menu in Providence. Though some girls will try and push the envelope all of the clubs have pretty much told the dancers that if they get caught they get fired.

That being said, if you wanna roll the dice Cheaters is the place to do it. I wouldn't get my hopes up however.

I agree, the ship has sailed since the law change. Everyone's been kind of walking on eggshells since and mangement has pretty much dismissed the law breakers. I haven't been to CH forever, but would agree that it's your best bet. Of course you can still get some pretty damn good grindage in Prov at all clubs, just not the extras that were rampant prior to the law change.

I think it's all a matter of degrees. There has always been good entertainment in Providence. Today's Providence strip club scene is not the same as it was at this time last year. I think there is a current attempt by clubs to at least show acknowledgment of the recent law changes, but later in 2010 the "same old" could return as clubs get comfortable with the new rules. It is easy to suggest that the best in Providence is over, but strip club economics and Providence law enforcement will the real deciding factor. Given RI's new rules - It might not be such a good idea to publicly state it if Providence returns to its finest entertainment levels in the future.

But the OP was asking for comparisons to an area of CT where blatant BJ and FS are, or were, the norm. Outside of perhaps Cheaters this is simply not the case anymore at CF, CD, CL or the Foxy. Can't speak for the Doll or Sportsman's and I lost my stomach for Cheaters a while ago so someone else will have to provide accurate info on that dump..

While I agree, Cheaters is really dumpy, and I don't go there anymore either. CL, Foxy and CF, you can still get some extras, but only from the girls that know you pretty well. Any others won't take a chance, because if they get caught they are on their own. The Mgt doesn't seem to mind what happens, as long as there are no problems. Since the law changed, I have been offered lots of extras, but still the best has been that a number of the girls have offered to see me at more private locations. This is working out far better than trolling the clubs.
