The "only signed up a few seconds ago" thing is a bug. To be honest, the SA developers are mostly idiots. They're always screwing up something.

Remove some of your filters and you should see more. I find if I filter more than one "seeking" item, it REALLY limits the results, they're searching on A AND B, rather than A OR B. So if you have multiple criteria selected, it will only look for results that match ALL of the criteria.

There are a gazillion women in Charlotte. Read the forum and you will find many that suit your taste.

There was one other one I filtered but basically anything that says SPOIL me please and that got rid of most of the GPS in my SA Career.

Roughly of every 10 I contact, most over 30 YO by the way, 4 DTF, but won't host, 2 are DTF and will host but ask $$$ or more, 3 are tire kickers (seeing what it is about and have no intention of meeting), and 1 is worth meeting.
