If I remember correctly. It is accurate HOWEVER this quick test is only accurate if you wait 90 days to do the test after your last sexual encounter and have no unprotected in the subsequent days between sexual encounter and testing. I believe it is because it tests for antibodies that need time to develop. There are blood based tests that have a shorter wait period but they are more expensive and require lab testing. There are internet based testing services for these that avoid a doctor visit and enable you to get a reliable lab based result.
