This has been discussed on this board before. Another monger gave up his credit card number so he could be "verified". Next thing he knows his card is being charged a monthly fee of approx. $39. Efforts to resolve it one-on-one produced no results. His only option was to cancel the card and get a new number. Had he tried to dispute the charges the bank would have required more info as to what he expected for his money, blah, blah, blah. It was easier (and less embarrassing) to just cut his losses. NEVER give up your cc number.

fbtom - excellent set of step-by step "how to's" on creating the pdf files.

One thing I note is that the program you use or recommended allows one to name the file before they save it. So far, if the web2pdf Firefox add on has that capability, I am missing it. It just saves every file to the desktop as Backpage.pdf or something like it - all the same name - and then I have to stop and rename the file (pain!).

But something else I noted that you are doing that is an excellent addition is that you are putting the girls' name, age and her telephone number into the name of the file. This is a spot-on idea since it makes it easy to conduct a search for the file again - both useful, if months down the road, one thinks a girl looks familiar in a new advert - they can find the old one with a search of name, age or phone number. Wish I had been following this practice for the last several years - I'd have a good search-able data base by now. Instead lots of files with BP & CL post IDs! :(

Hopefully, if others adopt this practice and post the files on USASG we'll have eventually a great database of search-able provider adverts!

Wouldn’t it be simpler to do a screen shot (copy)? You could then paste it into a word doc. Or make it a jpeg file and save it in any folder.

In a word document you could add all kinds of pertinent info. As a jpeg file you could edit it with any photo editor.

I had to reduce the resolution (file size) to post on this site. The resolution would be much better on your personal computer.

Hey CJ, Yes the method that you mentioned does work and has advantages of adding info inside of the file that is saved, either by programs such as Word or paintbrush.

I don't mind the limitations of the PDF method of not being able to add info in this manner.

On the other hand, the pdf method automatically handles multiple pages without having to manually edit the pieces together again. One risk is that you might not capture where the pieces overlap, possibly missing something important like a phone number.

If you were to use both methods for a period of time, I think that you would agree that the automatic multiple page handling is a tremendous time saver.

If you really want the best of both worlds, find a pdf creator that also edits or download the pdfcreator and a different software to edit the pdf created.
