I gave up on the street scene a couple of years ago. I spent a while trolling Craig's List for $200 girls and realized that most of them where a disappointment.

CL is an awfully expensive way to get blown but....
Hitting *67 before making a call will block your number but only from them, not from anyone doing any serious research into the calls that she receives like the phone company or a police officer.
The reason they ask you to do that is for safety purposes. Needless to say, they have to deal woth a lot of assholes and maniacs so they want to know who's calling them.
As to whether or not they'll answer a blocked call, probably not. Why would they ask you to unblock it, then take your call after you ignore their request?
