Rog, we are friends and I agree with your post. That being said, this board was better than it is now at one time and I personally think with a little co-operation that we can make it even better than it was before. I have read other large boards and you are right they are worse but that doesn't mean that we can't strive to be better.

I am willing to participate with any and all that want to stive to make our community a better place.

I am a fan of 'to each his own' and with that I mean, each person does have a right to be unique in how they respond to 'whatever'. I was helped when I was a newbie when I asked by PM specific questions and they for the most part were how to do something. Folks, the Cincinnati site is filled with VERY useful information and we all should be happy about that. Please review other medium to large city forums and you will appreciate what we have here both in information on the forum and with the people we can visit that have been talked about on this forum.

Since I ranted in the Escorts Reports thread this morning, I thought I had better post a clarification about what I am trying to do here on the Board. Since, I'm sure some of you probably think I have a big head and want to dominate this forum. [B][I]I do not.[/I][/B]

I am not trying to be Board Moderator (that is Jackson's job).
I am not trying to stop anyone from expressing their own thoughts and opinions - [B][I]everyone [/I][/B]should freely have that right.
I am not trying to be my brothers' keeper or "daddy" of the board, sending people to their rooms when they misbehave.

I am trying to provide good information for all to use.
I am trying to encourage everyone to be a productive and respected member of this board.
I am trying to mentor and teach any who want to learn, like others mentored and taught me.
I am trying to encourage everyone to moderate themselves instead of creating drama.

I'm just as tired of the crap as most of you! I am choosing to try to reduce the crap and increase the good, diligent, informative posts by trying to guide whomever will listen back to the reason for which this board was created. I know there are Hobbyists out there who have been doing this much longer and have much more experience and wisdom than I. And frankly, I would appreciate all the help that anyone is willing to give to achieve that goal (e.g. Nkykinkyguy and a few others, refer to Nkykinkyguy's post below).

In that regard, I would also like to clarify that the "Rules for Escort Mongering" and "Guide for being a Respected Member of USASG" threads that I started are not meant for me to espouse or dictate my thoughts and beliefs on what Members and Hobbyists should do. They are not going to be some unilateral set rules created by me alone. I intend these lists to be generated by [I]all of us[/I], by whomever wants to contribute. It should be a collaborative effort, certainly not one person's thoughts on what you should do as a Member or Hobbyist. As I have said, there are many of you with more experience than I. All I am doing is trying to step up and take on the role of archivist.

As Nkykinkyguy posted below, there has been an "in the background" movement to foment a change on this board for the better. I just happen to be the vocal arm of that collaborative. And, you may direct any barbs and arrows my direction too, since I am the vocal one. I too, can take it (LOL).

I will repost Nkykinkyguy's fourth item for emphasis.

As you can see, they are not [B][I]"Rules"[/I][/B] So much as guidelines to keep you safe. I only chose "Rules" for the name of my thread for the Escorts version to be in line with the "22 Rules for Street Mongering". Although Ky Guy 123 makes some very good points about why they should be called "Rules" instead of "Guidelines" in his post below.

Seriously, they are not [B][I]rules[/I][/B]. You can do what you want. You can take your chances. But, as I'm sure ALL of the SW guys will tell you,"Read the 22 Rules, Follow the 22 Rules, you won't get busted if you follow them, and you should have a good time". I'm sure you already do most of the things that will be in the "Rules" anyhow. This is for the new guys to learn from and more of a reminder for the old guys.

The Street Mongers are very proud, as they should be, of their 22 rules. They live by these rules to insure their safety and productivity. I don't know that they will appreciate being called retards because they use a set of rules to monger by. Everyone needs to use whatever tools available to them to protect themselves, that doesn't make them a retard.

First off, calling them "rules" gives off a certain connotation when in actuality they are mere "tips". When I first started mongering, I wasn't a member of the forum and had no rules or tips to follow. Years later after finding this board, and reading the 22 rules, it occurred to me that the things I had learned in the streets were indeed the exact things mentioned in the rules. Now there are slight variances in everyone's habits and procedures as well. They are a good set of tips for avoiding LE and potentially dangerous situations for beginners and novices. As time goes on and technology and LE grows close to Big Brother status, the rules could eventually need some tweaking.

I'm sure Escort rules could easily be created, although a lot of thought would have to be put into it. You see, for a SW sting, LE women do not get into your car for a ride without someone closely following. You could possibly apply that same theory to Escorts as well. If you meet at a neutral spot without previously mentioning money and go to an undisclosed area for the fun in one car without being followed, then you might be able to come out clean as a whistle. There are probably other ways of doing this, but I HAVE used that method in the past. I'll have to say that the thought of meeting an Escort is a lot scarier than picking up a SW. With a SW, it sounds like just friendly chit-chat and meeting someone. Might even ask her to do some "nude modeling" which is totally legal BTW.

Seems like some of the "know it alls" from the escort section want to prove they know it all. I have talked with one of the so called list makers and he told me he has only been doing this for a couple years. So what gives him the right to make a set of rules? Likewise just because someone has over 300 posts does not mean they know much either. But that is just my opinion.

Just a clarification for some of the readers that either don't bother to read the post or can't quite comprend what is written in them.

There are no list makers. The request was sent out to everyone on the board to contribute to the formation of two needed list, guide, rules, whatever name you wish to attach to them.

So whether you have been in the hobby for 20 months or 20 years your opinion matters and your input is not only welcome but needed because no one is going to do it for us we need to contribute, unfortunately that even includes those that childishly use name calling to try and belittle what they don't understand. They too are members.

These lists are not an attempt to change or circumvent the way you currently Hobby. They are to help new members avoid the need to recreate the wheel over and over again and to provide a point of reference for everyone to use if they so choose.

So everyone, please send Jry Wild1 your serious input, he is just going to compile the information in a list format and then post it for everyone's reviews, comments and critical comments.

It's the communities list not any one persons.

You can never know enough about all this. All information is valuable, even the most outlandish. People reveal their personalities in their words and I get good information as to who I can trust by the way they convey information. Anyone new to this needs to be patient. Lack of knowledge and ignoring information create your biggest risks in all this.
