AZ State estimates prostitution patronization by BP city
Houston guys partake often and SF guys very rarely. Interesting breakdowns contained within. Cops assisted in determining code words and how to identify minors:

Bad Research means Bogus Statistics

The "researchers" placed fake Backpage escort agency ads in 15 cities and extrapolated their monger totals from the number of calls they received. Maybe the San Francisco guys are much better at spotting fakes?
I don't believe for a second that the stats vary that much by locale. If you look at the methodology, they emphasize new Backpage ads as a major part of the study. If you've ever checked west coast ads you'll see that MyRedbook, Humaniplex, and City Vibe, among others, are HUGE ad sites there. Any "study" that limits itself to Backpage is so flawed as to be useless.
One of the study contributors is Phoenix LEO. I suggest you check Phoenix City Vibe to get a true picture of where the ads are in his home city.

Memphis / 19 year old shot in Sycamore Road hotel
Over on the Memphis boards, there's a discussion of a 19 year old provider found shot in a Sycamore View Road area hotel.
This isn't a provider who ever serviced Nashville, but it's relevant to whatever extent this is going to present a safety alert to the providers or the hobbyists. This could certainly fuel LEO attention, but, at the same time, serves as a grim reminder about personal safety issues.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -.
Four Nashville area massage parlors were raided Monday afternoon in connection to a prostitution case.
Officers simultaneously raided Golden Massage on Abbott Martin Road in Green Hills, Daily Massage on North Gallatin Pike in Madison, ABC Massage on Franklin Pike in Berry Hill, and Acupressure Treatment Center on 4th Ave South near downtown.
Detectives are investigating whether women working at the four massage parlors were being trafficked.
Nashville's News 2 found ads for all four businesses on the Web site Backpage.com.
One local business owner in Berry Hill near ABC Massage told News 2 he hadn't noticed anything out of the ordinary. He said the business attracted mostly men but was "quiet.".
A woman who works in the area told News 2 she received a massage at ABC Massage but never went back. She said it was very dimly lit inside, making her feel uncomfortable, but there was nothing that led her to believe there was sex trafficking going on.
The investigation is ongoing.
Whew....I was just accross the road this morning
