That's why reviews are key (in the case of the 27 year old).
Guess it was good while it lasted.
"Stick with well reviewed girls" is the common wisdom. I've repeatedly taken criticism for trying to go off the beaten path (admittedly sometimes from myself), but honestly, that doesn't work either. Why? This is the observed trajectory:
Ad you've never seen before pops up. Google image, phone, the usual review boards reveal nothing good or bad. You opt to wait-and-see.
A few days to a week or so later, a few reviews appear. The number and quality of the review is suspect (possible self posting, review from someone known to extort bargains / special treatment in exchange for a good review, unknown reviewer.) You opt to wait-and-see.
Another week or so later there are plenty of reviews, maybe even lots, from reliable sources with a solid review history. Ah, now's the time!
One of several things happen.
* She disappears without a trace (UTR? Paid off whatever big expense that made her need money and quit? Who knows?)
* She has become very popular. Phone goes straight to voice mail. Eventually you do get through and she's booked solid further out than you can schedule.
* She has become so popular, she has raised her rates to the stratosphere (good on her, smart business move). I'm not as much of a cheapskate as many people here seem to be, but neither can I afford the $ $ $ and $ $ $ $ encounters terribly often.
* You get through and see her, but the sudden popularity has taken a toll. The fun has gone for her, and took any notion of 'good service' with it. She now hates her 'job' but she's now addicted to the money (in addition to what ever other addictions she has) and can't quit.
I've experienced that last first hand, more than once (including a really good first visit, and very lackluster second visit). If you read all the various reviews, you can see it there too. It isn't just you. She has either become high volume and quality (as reflected in reviews) has suffered, or she is able to maintain quality and her availability goes down as her rates just go up and up.
I'll keep prospecting unknowns. Not all of them turn out bad, a couple have been quite good, but even my 'discoveries' (not just escorts, but even the massage parlour girls that are exemplary enough that I ask for them by name) follow the pattern. My favorite becomes everybodies' favorite, and thus transforms into nobodies' favorite.

A global perspective, so to speak.

A global perspective, so to speak.
Years ago I was visiting Berlin with my then girlfriend and stayed at the Arcotel Velvet on Oranienburger Strasse. We arrived hungry and the hotel clerk recommended a local pub about a half block away for good Berliner comfort food and beers. Had a pleasant meal, but when it came time to pay I realized we didn't have nearly enough euros (we had been in Prague before arriving in Berlin). The pub owner said there was a bank ATM on Oranienburger Strasse not far from the hotel--5 minute walk. My SO was still working on a beer, so I headed for the ATM. I noticed there were a lot of attractive "ladies" along Oranienburger, and several smiled or winked--OK, it was clear they were available. But once I got to the ATM and took out a couple of hundred euros, things got more interesting.
The walk back along that street was like running (or walking) some sort of a pleasure gantlet! They smelled the money. They were not alarmingly aggressive or threatening in any way, but my ass and crotch got some nice rubbing action and I got all sorts of wonderful suggestions whispered into my ears as I walked along. Most of them were at least very attractive and some absolute knockouts. And some were TS, but also stunning, though I don't go that way myself. Anyway, my SO and I had a good laugh about it--she joked that she'd kill me if I ever contemplated returning to Berlin without her. At least, I think she was joking.
You find all sorts of things when you are looking for something else.
I ran across this today:

Now you know one of the reasons why there are so many fakes.
http://baltimore.cbslocal.com/2012/09/25/maryland-prostitution-sting-yields-23-arrests/
I dropped in on Saturday for a session with Judy. As we were finishing up she advised me to exit through the back door. She said there are some people smoking in the front. Without hesitation I took her recommendation. As I walked around the building, I saw three police officers near the front entrance with two patrol cars parked near by. Without a second look I walked normally to my car, got in then drove off. Honestly I don't know why those cops congregated there but who knows. Close call?
That is the name of an article on today's New York Times website. A long article, but very interesting. Sorry, I am not savvy enough to provide a link. Dick.

Say what? Just posting reviews can be considered promoting prostitution??

I'm heading to Peru and Ecuador next week. Not a sex tourism visit (ancient Incan sites and the Galapagos are my main goals), but who knows what might happen. I'll let everyone know if I should have any interesting experiences.
