Public health is the whole reason the health dept exists. Yes they really will make contact with everyone you tell them about. The health guidance requires physicians to report incidence of STIs and STDs to the State Health Department and CDC who use the information for public health tracking. They are not required to report PII. Do let this fear stop anyone from getting tested and treated for STIs or STDs. It is a risk we all take if we choose to go raw but get tested and treated if you get one.

I know people who work in these areas and I have heard from them directly about how they have been the people to make the calls and collect the information to do the contact tracing.

The average monger (at least in our fair city) looks for desperate, depressed, and drug-addled women to exploit, humiliate, and fuck.
