After seeing her they didn't look to be old or filtered, they were a completely different person. Phones have really good cameras in general now. It's easy to tell if the girl you're looking at is the girl in the photos. So if you have to question it the pics are fake.

A general tip is if the pics are below iphone quality meaning blurry or sized really small/large or cropped it's probably fake. Anything outside of a clear iPhone quality selfie should have your antennas up.
