From my experience any girl who gives out business cards is not worth it.

Stopped by the strip bar on Century on right just after Aviation Blvd coming into LAX on Saturday 6/6 around 9pm. $10 cover. Place was nice inside but there were only 5 girls there. Attractive blonde got me to go to back room but pricing was not for me. $30 for private dance. $40 for better private dance, $60 for full contact private dance. After getting great private dances for $25 at the Body Shop on Sunset in Hollywood decided to pass.

Long time lurker but haven't posted much here.. (I'm Canadian and frequent those boards instead.) I am in LA for a few days and had a question regarding LE and outcalls. I am under the impression that as long as I stick with an outcall I should avoid getting caught up in a sting. Does that sound about right or do LE set up stings for outcalls as well? In Canada things are considerably different and I don't want to get arrested while I am here!! LOL

Although you are less likely to get busted using an outcall provider, it CAN happen. (And I believe I read recently that it HAS happened when cops busted CL providers, then used their numbers to sting callers.)

To be safe, don't mention acts over the phone. (Smart providers will hang up on you anyway, since they are afraid of being entrapped, so don't do it.) Peruse reviews, get recommendations, etc., so you don't have to TOFTT when you are on such a short trip.

Aside from that, though you are less likely to get busted with an outcall provider, you are probably more likely to be ripped off. (Which is "better" than being arrested, but still...)

Been in the hobby for decades but never ran into this, and recommendations would be welcome.

Saw a provider a couple of weeks ago, and was staying in touch. Uncharacteristically, she failed to answer or return calls for several days. Finally when she did call, it turned out that she and a girl friend had been busted in a sting at a LAX hotel. She was held for a day, and her girl friend who couldn't make bail (because of other warrants) had to stay six days.

When the provider was released she wasn't given her cell phone back, because she was arrested in one location, and release in another, and the property didn't travel through the system as quickly as she did.

I suspect, without knowing, that my number is probably in that phone! Is it likely that I am now on the LE radar because they searched the phone for contact numbers? I can change some phone numbers, but not all.

Experienced guys, what, if anything, do I do now? Is my fear well founded, or just monger paranoia?

Don't forget most mongering is a misdemeanor and therefore not worth a lot of effort by the cops. Be cautious of calls to that number. If the cops call directly to put the fear of God into you, just say you can't imagine how your number got on that phone. Say nothing else.

Going forward, buy a prepaid phone with cash and pay for the time with top-up cards you pay cash for. Use it for mongering and nothing else. Take the advice you have already and don't discuss the deed and finances over the phone.

I knew an Escort Service girl years ago who said that she and others from her agency got busted at various LAX hotels over the years. It's an easy target for LAPD, because most people there are out-of-towners who will plead out and pay up and take off. Easy money for our broke-ass city. How else are you going to pay for $1.4 million Michael Jackson tributes? Um... I mean... pay for schools and hospitals. Yeah, that's what our tax money goes to - things we need (for illegal aliens).

The provider told me that they were running two operations at the same hotel. One was designed to nab providers, and the other clients. The LE told her that there was no entrapment defense, and that the "LE check" was a waste of time.

Fortunately, it turned out that her phone was locked while it was in the custody of the authorities. Whew.
