I would pay the entry fee upon arrival, but the tip would happen after the massage. I'm assuming that he got shorted on time so he shorted her tip and she was upset about it. I definitely see where the upset monger is coming from because these girls don't do a full hour which is what we paid for. And she also had no right to ask for a tip first, even if she got a bad tip before your arrival.

I've only tried Escape a couple of years ago, with your same results.
