Congrats on getting a wonderful experience on the cheap. The economy for work is still poor and I'm sure that the 20 dollars was needed. I would encourage you going forward to invest the extra twenty dollars on each visit. When you tip 20 and they feel ripped off, it's going to be hard to get good service again. I'm sure you can pop over there and they'll treat you well, but after awhile, they'll recognize you and you'll find the service to go downhill.

The number of good spas in Chicago are few. There are a ton more in SF, Philly, NY, Dallas. The only person you hurt is yourself as you start to get crappier and crappier service from these places.

Also, I've found that my best exploits and ATFs are typically UTRs that don't post on BP and other sites. I typically get these contact deets from other seniors. I got that because I built a good reputation of being kind to their referrals without breaking "standard" pricing. Like some who have already stated, I will be sure to not respond to your messages.

Lastly, there are girls who read and advertise on this board. For example, the legendary Tara of Madison. To contact her, you have to post on their board that you'd like to see her, she reads all of your posts and then decides if you're a shithead or not.

I wouldn't think of the extra 20 dollars going forward as wasting money, I would think of it as investing in building a good relationship with you favorite spa.

Nowhere in your original post did you ever say "we negotiated an agreement before proceeding". You said "standard finish and my standard .2 tip". From that one could think that nothing was negotiated beforehand and that you tipped her after the standard finish. If you negotiated the tip before and she agreed to do it for that amount then great, no problem but you should have written that in your post.

Regardless of whether it was an hour or a half, I have had many girls ask for 40 and many members consider that to be the standard tip. I have always tipped 40 regardless of the time for good service, roaming and a h / e and the girls have always been happy, but that's just me.

I apoloized to Jameson via PM and will do so here in public also. It is perfectly reasonable, in fact "honorable" to tell the girl, in advance, that the tip will be $20. He offered and she accepted. In fact, the girl started the negotiation by holding up 4 fingers. I don't think I understand the original post.

I thought that was a good deal (pretty new at the foot massage game). Didn't try anything but was getting a vibe. She wasn't attractive so I behaved. Get done and out to the front. The other girl asks me if I'm going to tip girl #1. I played dumb and asked how much is a good tip? She said they work for tips so anything is good. I asked is $5 a good tip? She said "Oh yes, very good. " So I reached in and pulled out a five. I was feeling kinda cheap but she was happy with it so who am I to argue.

Girl #2 (better looking) was being flirty. I asked her if she does massage. Yes, how long you want? I say half hour and I hand her $40, got a $5 discount for first time. Into a different room where I get ready and she comes in. Left me uncovered so I started some roaming. She said not yet I give you good massage first. At halftime she sees my excitement level is high so she grabs the oil bottle. 10 minutes later she brings in 3 hot towels and cleans me up. She leaves and I get dressed. To test the water I leave standard tip on the pillow. When she comes back in, she sees it and is smiling a mile wide. Pinches me on the ass and invites me to come back soon.

Point is she was perfectly happy with the standard. So was I.

All this discussion about tipping has me wondering about something I've had happen a couple of times that I call the Reverse Upsell. So, and I will add after protracted negotiations, we agree for a "Business Class" trip for $. 8. This "flight" goes on for awhile but I'm not getting anywhere and I tell the "flight attendant" that I think the trip will go much faster if I'm upgraded to 1st Class. So after a little persuading, I get upgraded to 1st class for price of a business class ticket. Full disclosure, I was in a new area (not Chicago) and it was my first visit to that particular establishment.

Question for the group: Considering the number of times I've had "flight attendants" put the upsell on me, was I wrong and / or was I cheating the flight attendant for trying to get the reverse upsell?

You did not cheat her. From what is written sounds like she agreed to it.

When is this so-called next meetup? I just moved to Chicago from NYC and I'm looking to get into some trouble.
