10 min-15 min be Mr. Explorer, Mr. Kissy. Explore her nether regions to see if she's getting hot and bothered and sometimes she'll initiate further progression.

15 min-30 min be MR. FREAK.

The above only works about 25% of the time, heh. This usually doesn't work for the true hustlers and seasoned vets (it's happened, though). The other 75% is as you described. But usually when I have had that with dancers I'm off that whiskey and tequila. You have two options with this. The dancer has to find you attractive and you can tell with the eye contact they make with you in VIP. Most dancer lie and say how cute you are but if they make super deep up in personal eye contact and all in your face and don't back away or look away they usually want to dfk.
