So I new client texted me, asked hours and fee, no other questions then set a time, then he asked to pay with paypal, I'm okay with that, then about 5 hours before his evening time was set, I just had this feeling, so I texted and asked "where'd you come across my name or ad?" Now earlier he was texting back ASAP, however this question went ignored for few HOURS. Then, almost like he didn't remember the sites name and had to hurry and google it or reserch his answer first? I don't know? But after a few hours I wrote, " if you can't tell me how you got my number and where you seen my ad, I can't see you" then I got a response, he said " a forum". I'm thinking, a forum? Okay WHICH ONE? Then another long pause and I said, I'm going to refund your paypal payment because your making me very paranoid, he responds. That USA forum. There was something odd I can't put my thumb on it, plus was using thumb for other reasons. JK. But what do you all think? Am I being paranoid?

Even if someone is a member or has references, if my gut says it ain't right, if I am questioning myself, if the call or text don't sound right, if I have a bad feeling etc, I don't see them. No matter what. If I don't feel safe to bring someone to my home, then they don't need to be there. The first time I even question myself, I end the call / texting immediately. I have no problem telling someone I don't feel comfortable and send an apology and leave it at that.
I love this hobby and love having fun, and I can't have fun and neither can the client if I or him is uncomfortable. My first rule of advice in this great hobby is instincts, instincts, instincts. NEVER question yourself. You did the right thing and I definitely think you know that, yes it's always great to have advice and opinions but you do as you feel confident and comfortable first.

PayPal provides a paper trail that's easily provable. All that needed to happen at that point was even just meet with the suggestion that sex was going to happen and you are pinched. Plus, if the funds ever crossed state lines, even just going through the PayPal system based in CA, it's now a federal issue enforceable under RICO.
