Doing a gps search, Tampa 8, Quality inn, and Budget Inn are the 3 closet motel in the areas which on the outskirts of Ybor. To my knowledge, there are not too many providers there (Could be wrong (and guessing) a called in drug complaint was the issue. Providers are all over Tampa and not part of one area.

O. nly 2 links that seemed relevant.
I'm not sure where you were getting the outskirts of Ybor from all this. First, there are actually many many more hotels than that between Ybor and Brandon, particularly around the Casino/Fairgrounds area, which also happens to be a preferred area for a large number of providers. Secondly, the post you were responding to specifically stated the arrest location as being near Park Rd and I-4, which is on the outskirts on the other side of Brandon way out in Plant City. BTW, not that it really matters but in addition to the Comfort Inn there is also a Holiday Inn Express at that location.
As to your 2 links, again completely irrelevant. Keep in mind that not all busts (not even the 5-6 in this case) make any headlines. In fact, most don't. One of those links did concern hooker busts but was from an article written way back in June. What's more the 80 busts announced in that article as one massive sting actually occurred over the space of several months at the beginning of the year. The other article was from the last few days, but took place in Town and Country (i.e. West not east Hillsborough) and concerned the arrests of johns not hookers.
It is actually that last point that makes that link far more noteworthy to all of us than any announced or unannounced arrest of any hookers. Apparently, Sheriff Chad is no longer limiting his sights on hookers (or as he prefers to frame it "the victims of sex trafficking") now he has announced his intents to go more after johns, meaning any of us could be next!
Before anyone gets too alarmed, there are no hotels in that area and the arrests took place in a range of areas along Hillsborough Ave between Hanley & T&C Blvd (plus 1 up on Waters), so most likely street prostitution-related busts, though I never knew that to be an area for SW's (which perhaps should have been those fools first clue). So perhaps not too much cause for alarm unless you're in the habit of cruising for streetwalkers in strange areas, but still worth some note for any of us, since one never can predict what LEO's next move might be.
