I feel like a noob <SMACK!
So, AMPs have never really been my thing, but I decided to check a couple out. Honestly, I can't remember the last time I went to one, but it was probably Peach Therapy (now called Bada Spa I think. See link below) a couple of years ago.

I had also been to the old Vermont / Downtown back in the '03-'06 timeframe, and I knew from the forum that such was no longer to be had, but I figured I was overdue to take one -- or a few -- for the team.
So, in my first foray back into the AMP scene was to Prince Therapy in Springfield (technically in VA but close enough to be of interest to DC folks). Door answered by someone old enough to be the MMS. Mediocre massage by the 50-something woman. Wanted .4 for HE, paid .2 to get the hell out instead.
Second attempt was at Vermont. Despite the reviews, I figured I'the at least get a massage, and I was OK with that. Mounted the stairs around 8 PM on the weeknight. Was met by MMS who led me to a room. Asked if I'the been there before, and I said that I hadn't been there since about 2006. She then told me "We no full saaaaaveeeeeese anymore." Then she went to the door, opened it again, and said, "I don't think you like our massage." And I hadn't even asked or implied that I wanted anything other than a massage! First time I've ever been kicked out of an AMP!
Third attempt was to Swan Spa in Alexandria. It's in an office park with one or two or maybe even three other massage places (one or two of which now appear to be shuttered), and I always see plenty of cars in front. So, I went up, MMS opened the door and led me to a room. Took .8 for the house and told me to undress and lie on the table (uh, what about the table shower we passed? Fifteen minutes later, an attractive, albeit 40-something masseuse walked in wearing pants and a turtle neck. Looked like she could have come straight from a corporate office job. No table shower. It was "broken". Kept me covered with a sheet the ENTIRE time. Didn't even use the lotion they had in the room. Pathetic, weak massage. No hint or attempt at HE. Didn't bother tipping, she didn't seem surprised (I wouldn't have tipped that crappy massage even at a legit place). Left to see a bunch of middle aged married guys waiting in their cars for their turn I suppose. I have no idea why this place is popular.
Now, I admit I was a little soft in my approach. I was curious to see what would happen. And, back in the day, you didn't exactly need to know a password or secret handshake to get service. And given the age and appearance of my therapists, I wasn't exactly enthusiastic about getting service anyway.
Ugh, I'm rustier than I thought.
Good reminder to get the digits of your faves if you can
So anyone know of any chick that'll do BBBJTC and swallow? A few years ago there was one I regularly visited but sadly she vanished. If anyone knows anyone, drop me a PM. Thanks.
Since many AMP girls rotate in and out of the area, switch to a different spa and sometimes drop off the radar entirely, this is a good reminder to get their personal digits whenever you can so you can always keep in touch.
What I generally do is when I find a girl I really connect with and who gives great service, I usually ask if she would mind giving me her number so that I can check directly with her to see when she's working and not have to go through the mamasan. That's a nonthreatening, noncreepy way to ask and, if she also feels the connection, there's no problem and I get her number. And the advantage for the girl is that she knows she has a good client who may become a regular. Since she probably sees a lot of flakes she will usually be happy to see you instead.
Of course, forget this strategy if you have any chance of those digits being discovered by a snooping SO, or if a text at an inappropriate time would be a problem for you. But that's not my situation so this works well for me.
Google voice works well too...
I use Textfree app on my phone. You can hide the app, close it and will not get notifications while I am not logged in. Great app and while there is some danger to it, I can always say it came on my phone and I didn't delete it.
You can create a dummy gmail address, tie a Google voice number to it, and then the texts come to the Google voice app. You can set the Google voice number to ring your work phone, your actual cell number of no numbers at all...on a schedule.
Good privacy info, thanks!

I know Google Voice has been mentioned several times, now we have a positive vote for Textfree. Any others worthy of consideration?
