You know the kind with the guy who owns it is the one sitting at the check in desk that you can see from the road. They'll frequently take cash and let you put whatever you want on the registration sheet. There's not a whole lot of reason not to walk in and let the clerk know what you're doing, just say you'd like to get a room and you need to keep it discrete without a paper trail and ask if they can accommodate you.
If you want to get a nicer room in a chain hotel, you'll need to have a card. There have been multiple discussions in the Richmond Sugarbaby thread over the years about how to accomplish this on a cash basis using the pre-paid Visa cards that you can get at CVS / Walgreens. The easiest answer as I recall: pay cash for the prepaid card and use that to book the hotel of your choice using a 3rd party site like [URL]hotels.com[/URL]. There will be some trial and error involved, some hotels check ID so you may want to use a name on your registration that is close to your real name.

Covid has not been a secret, so those that still play understand the risks. Whether it was King or anyone else in ATL or any other city, those that participate are adults that understand and assume the risks of such a hobby. I have too high of risk condition so I have been sidelined for 9 months and it is killing me, but for me my decision was to sit out out (as hard as that is) for a year + and live to play another day. Same risk anyone doing BBFS does, same logic, there are risks you assume with it and spin the wheel an hope the odds are in your favor that day. At this point anyone around him at the last party is well past the risk of developing symptoms.

I've also been mostly sidelined for 9 months, just seeing a sex buddy friend with benefits. I've known her for 12+ years.

I've known her for 12+ years.[/QUOTE]Yes, I haven't taken covid risk for the last 10 months, but I did used to take BBFS risk quite often, and I'm sure other mongers thought I was crazy to do that. So you can't really judge someone else's life decisions, in that regard.
But the pandemic has been terrible for my dating / sex life, and I'm getting tempted to take more chances lately. Perhaps I should try to hang on just awhile longer.
And RIP King. He was one of those people who would just make it happen, through courage and hard work and force of will. I never went to any of the parties, but always enjoyed the pics and recaps that he posted. He certainly lived a full life and he will be sorely missed.

You probably still have to use your real name, but I usually misspell mine on the reservation, just for general privacy purposes. Some of the motels ask for your ID, and some do not. And of course you could also buy a prepaid VISA gift card with cash and use that, as well.
