To all a happy new year. So the last several months I have been in CA I am visiting back in AZ. Having been back in AZ for a few weeks I finally got to visit my second favorite club TDE. Got there kind of early but one of the girls that I enjoy works early. SO I finally get a chance to talk to her. We go to VIP. He was sittin' there ALONE watching the game and me and her. The doorman was even a little freaked out by the guy, maybe thinking he was Uncle Leo? Either way the whole thing was uncomfortable. Most of you probably know me from the Nogales forum, I normally don't like to report my local meanderings so as to protect my reputation and not let anyone know where I play.
However, last night saturday at Curves the proverbial straw that broke the camels back has occured to me. I'm like wallpaper, I'm there very frequently, I buy my drinks and have spent a shit load of cash on dances over the years and last night one of the managers that is familiar with me told me that there was a 2 drink minimum while I was sitting at the bar with a drink at my back, Duh!!! like I didn't know, that's like telling the wallpaper to stick to the wall, I told him that I always buy drinks when I come in, what f**king morons. Me and my buddies were shocked and jokingly said that it's time to find a new place to hang out. I guess our money is no longer good there, fine!!! they're not the only club in town.
That wasn't the worst of it ,one of the bouncers was extremely sick with a fever, sweating and looking very bad, this person always has a smile and a handshake for me when I enter. Management refused to let him go home, if he did he would be fired on the spot and on top of that they were trying to make him work outside in the cold.
A doctor that was inside the club approached him with concerns about his health, the bouncer trying not to force anybodies hand politely brushed the doctor off, I chatted with the doctor a few minutes and explained the cituation to him and he doubled back to speak with him, needless to say he was fired on the spot. The doctor said he would take care of him come monday.
I'm not trying to bad mouth Curves and at the same time I am, for it has been a wonderful place for myself for many years met plenty of nice women and had my fair share of take out even though it's not a very good place for mongering, I have my own special playground for which I focus on with great enthusiasm.
But with the behavior of last night and other business practices that have come to my attention that are directed at their customers and primarily at their employees, I can no longer patronize that establishment and that is why I tell the readers of this forum to carefully consider your patronage to Curves.

I've noticed their attitude for a long time which is why I don't patronize them much any more. I have a friend who dances there occasionally, but that's as close as I get. As I've reported on my site, Curves is not a mongers club. It has a name, but it's not for us. Curves will be full during Gem Show Week, though, because of it's name recognition. All the out-of-towners will be there thinking it's the best club in town. Fine. Let them. There will be less clutter in the clubs we all patronize.
A Mexican dancer friend who is currently working at another club told me that she'd like to get employed there because Curves is the club that all the men in Sonora know about and come to when they visit Tucson. She said that the Mexicans know two things about Tucson—Costco and Curves.

This surprises me none in the least.
As some of you may know, I used to work as a doorman. I never worked Curves, but I did work the sister club Raiders Reef, as well as other clubs. I can tell you with certainty that the owners of Raider's/Curves are by far the worst in the business to work for.
They see doormen as basically trash, as do most other employees of the club. They load the doormen down with duties that really shouldn't be within the scope of their duties, then ***** of one of their primary tasks gets missed. There is no calling in sick or anything of the like. Their attitude literally is that doormen are easily replaceable.
I quit Raiders after Mike, one of the five owners, said I was shaking down dancers for tips. I didn't quit just because of that, but that was the catalyst for pressure that had been building within me for a while. In my entire time working in that business at any club I had never once ever asked any customer nor dancer for any tip. It just really pissed me off bad.
A few years later I had struck up a conversation with someone in a casino who said he was a manager at Curves. He offered me a job. I told him I had been there done that, never going back, and told him why. He responded by going into this idiotic diatribe about how that's the correct way to manage doormen, and it must be the right way because the club is successful and profitable. The conversation, and the guy, thoroughly sickened me...but didn't surprise me.
Anyway, I quit my last club (Candy Store) in the Summer of '05. Though I left CS on good terms and am welcome back there, I want nothing more to do with the strip club business, as an employee, customer, nor anything else. I have not set foot in any strip club since the night I quit the CS. I have seen the business from the inside. It is a very ugly business with very ugly people. It's depressing and demoralizing if you stay in it long enough.
For those of you with more money than brains who like to go every night I say more power to you, whatever. But for those of us who are regular guys who must work for a living, I recommend satisfying your carnal desires through other mediums.

I myself haven't been in Curves in a long while. I think the atmosphere of the club smacks. I prefer some of the other clubs, in the long rung they seemed to be more friendlier. Also don't like the lay out of the club. Raiders for me is the closes, it must be at least 1 1/2 yrs since of frequented the club, the atmoshpere is better than Curves. But it still seems the stigma is there. If i had to choose of either clubs i guess it would be raiders but overall i prefer CS.

I would say that CS is still my fav. But TDE during the day can be nice as well. I have been the only dude in there for like an hour and I get a lot of attention. But I just like the friendly atmosphere of my neighborhood bar. I can go and just have a smoke, take in the show, and drink a beer. At night, it just feels different. Unless our own Juicy AMie is working the night shift then the friendly factor goes up since she is a sweetheart.
Maybe it is b/c I am better known on sight from the day. But at night I just feel out of place and alone. If I wanted to feel bad about myself I would stay outside and look at my life in the light. Inside, you enter a different world and almost feel like someone else. But I would say only during the day. My 2 cents.

Great insight. Wish you woulda beaten the hell out of one of them. I don't think crappy Tucson strip clubs are mobbed up or anything so you probably wouldn't have to watch your back much.
I don't even live in Tucson anymore but I miss it and that's why I keep up with the goingons there via this forum. It's a shame to find out from the inside that some of the places I dropped a good amount of money in are run by lowlifes. I'd love to hear about it coming back to them in spades.
Hi, Been a long time reader and infrequent poster. However, I feel obligated to report my most recent outing from a few days ago. An old friend was in town and we decided to hit up a few clubs after grabbing some sushi. A long story, but he has an EX who works at curves, so I reluctantly agreed to go "check it out" briefly before moving on to IMO the better clubs in town (I read this board, so I know better than to go to curves on my own, as opposed to CS or TDE). Anyway, we arrive and I am wearing a sort of tam/baseball cap...it's not quite a baseball cap, but has a brim and is basically pretty close. The bouncer stops me at the door and tells me I HAVE to leave the hat in the car?!?!?!?! I ask why, and he retorts that only baseball caps and one other kind are allowed. I take it off, look it at, show it to him, and reply but this is a baseball cap. He argues with me and tells me it's not and that's the club rules. So I turn to go back to my car, to do as I am told, and I say to my friend (loud enough for him to hear), "See, I hate this f@cking club!." After tossing the hat in the backseat of my car, I walk back toward the club, and my buddy is already outside coming toward me, telling me I got kicked out and can no longer go inside. I didn't really believe him and went back in, only to be yelled at by the bouncer. After a couple of apologies, I requested to speak with a manager after he still refused to let me in, telling me I "have a bad attitude!" He then refused to get the manager for me, or let me speak with him, claiming he was too busy to speak with me. He told me maybe next time I came to the club, if I had a better attitude I could then speak to the manager. I told him it was highly unlikely that me, or anyone else I know or talk to in the future, would ever come to their business again. I also vowed to spread the word of their ridiculous and ludicrous treatment of potential customers all over the internet...so here is me fulfilling my promise! As many others on this board have in the past, I am adding an additional reason why NO SANE person should ever given a single cent to the awful club that is CURVES! I would even go so far as to say that you should stay away from any other business that might be owned by the same people (like RR, I think?).

Happened by CS last sat. I rarely get to that side of town and never try to go on a weekend. But this day found me with several hours to kill after routing around town on various errands. Enjoyed several ladies on the floor. Then *finally* after all the time, I finally get to see Miss Amie. What a great gal! Tipped her during her dance and asked her to stop by. Then, out of the blue Frenchie stopped by (first time to meet her as weel. Had a lot of fun with her in the VIP then went back to the table. Sat for*ever* and couldn't find Amie til finally, just as I was getting ready to leave she appeared. Had a few dances at the table til she asked if I was done with the VIP for the day. I told her "not while your here". So off we went. What an absolute doll and sweetheart! She's just great. Can't wait til I get back on that side of town while she's there!

Be very careful with dancers that are pricing extras per dance. I prefer to either tip the dancer based on her enthusiasm and performance or negotiate a total amount up front. I do not and will not agree to higher per dance amounts personally...

There may be some that want to get compensated for any of their time but these should probably be avoided. As a courtesy to other mongers (and the dancer) if you are done with dances you should let her know so she can decide if she wants to stay and chat or move to another customer...
Kirstyforme, you are a well known tipper at the club. You are known by most if not all the ladies and they know how much you tip for a trip to the VIP. There is no way Mr. Bob is going to have it like you do until some of the ladies get to know him and know he tips well enough they can drop the upsell. O.K. so he found one he liked that only went for the $10 min. He may have to do some of those $20 upsells to get to know some of the girls as well as you do. Don't get cought up with the promise of extra play when your paying $20 per song though.
The setteling on a total always works out to be the best for the girls and the monger.
Some of the girls do expect to be paid for the time they set with you talking. They are at work to make a living. One way to help avoid this is to pay them when your done and tell them your done with the dances. If you screw around for three songs getting the money out of your wallet you should tip the girl at least for those three songs.
Blah Blah Blah It all boils down to the same thing, treat the girls well and they will treat you well.

You control the money, the dancers control the action. A strip club experience is a tug-of-war between the money and action. As I always say, a strippers interest in you and her action is in direct proportion to the greenery in your wallet. This is, after all, a pay-to-play hobby. When in doubt, pay the woman. You can't go wrong with that attitude.

I've got a report up on my site with tips for mongers to survive Gem Show week in Tucson.
One thing I didn't mention is that the next few weeks will be moneymakers for the local dancers—Gem Show, rodeo, Accenture golf tournament. Some of these dancers who are professional about their job will make as much in the month of February as they do all summer—and then some.
Some dancers will be working two shifts—day shift at their home club and the evening shift at one of the two or three other popular clubs frequented by out-of-towners. It's all about cash flow in February to the dancers (and escorts, too).

Two of my personal favorites are being let loose to do their thing in February. Each of them can easily make a grand a day during the month. I will be vacating my house for the Gem Show week so some visiting friends can live there. I may (emphasize the word "may") be heading to Mexico to visit four sisters for the duration of the Gem Show. Unless, that is, I get a better offer.
So, it's a big month coming up, mongers. Be prepared. As always, ymmv.

Well after several weeks at the CS, sampling numerious lovely latina ladies, I've come full circle. Several of the younger lovely latinas (5 different ones) tried to make my dreams come true in the VIP. Initially they were all very willing, but after a few songs couple to lose interest. They just didn't have the skilled experience it takes to bring our visits to a climax.
Once again, I had to remind myself of why I enjoy Salina so much. Her beauty, professional skills great personality really set her apart from all the others. She really is a nice lady in every regard.
I still haven't been able to get Luna alone in the VIP. I usually go in on Wed & Sat but haven't been able to nail down her schedule.

I was in town on a CL escort linkup that turned into a no-show. Not a surprise.
Thankfully there is always CS. I've always had a GREAT time every time I've gone to the CS. This time would be no exception. After several table dances, I found myself with yet another wonder latina.
