The way they do business is for you to call in and set an appointment. When I arrived at the hotel I called the number again to get the room number. Here is where things go badly for me.

It's the old bait and switch. The beauty with pictures on the site, was going to be late because of traffic. I was offered another girl I didn't know. Decided to wait on the beautiful Samantha.

More disturbing in the Cook Cty Sheriff announcing today that he wants to "stiffen" penalties for we customers by raising the fine from 100.00 to 1000.00. adding community service and auto impound. Sounds like they have all of their violent crime under control, huh?

That was my initial reaction too, but some things to consider...

Before CL and the internet became prevelant places to find sex, there were many high quality and cheap options in Chicago. CL has becaome a venue for the streetwalkers and their pimps to raise prices from $20 to $200 and more.

The new rules will keep some of the lower life girls from posting all together and could drive prices down on the lower end. Also, we won't be seeing the same posts 50 times a day now that it costs $5 per post so it will be easier to navigate.

Lastly, this is really a temporary situation as people will find other sites to shop their wares on and things will likely return to where they were a week ago very soon.

Maybe. On the other hand, some of the sweetest, non-pro girls I've met via CL are exactly the ones who won't post ads if it requires a credit card and possible trace-back.

What is going to stop people from getting prepaid Visa cards to post. Pay cash for the card. It the same as using a pre-paid phone. Plus think people will go to other parts of the site to post. Seen it already.

This is actually a good thing. First, no more posts of the same girl over and over. Second, the providers that are unavailable will think twice about posting their services. Third, the joke posting's will be the thing of the past,(maybe not, five bucks for a joke isn't that much). Fourth, it gets our lazy asses serching the net to find where they all went. Somtimes the hunt can be just as fun as the find. Still I hate to see it go it was just so handy.

Well, after all the reports here, I'm considering trying an asian apartment for the first time tomorrow even though it's a little outside my comfort zone. Here are two semi-abstract questions for those who may have experience.

1) It seems that even though the girls and locations change, the mongers here are very confident about a consistent level of service. Why is this?

2) If the reason is what I think it is, should this be troubling? I mean, I'm not Captain Morality over here, obviously, but I do like to think these transactions are simply mutually beneficial arrangements with gals who are just looking for a little easy extra cash. I'm not quite so keen on. The other possibilities. If I'm at all squeamish, should I pass?
