Folks, this law is the lay of the land in Jackson Ms Marittea, Ga Houston & Dallas. The permit or license to work in the clubs is the only one that is actively enforced untill some politician or police chief needs the publicity.
Hey LEO has a lot of other tough jobs to do than go out and take a tape measure to a young lady trying to make a living. When the do enforce it, they will come into the club very quite and all of a sudden take a bunch of pictures of dancers that are to close and then write the tickets. The pictures are the proof for the court.
The no alcohol thing has been tried. Remember the liquor store next to Danny's, when they could only sell beer. As to no alcohol on premises this might not be a law that is constitutional
I dont normally post on this board, as use to live in Houston, now in the Jackson area and mongering on the weekends in Memphis. I will add my two cents in the future.
My first foray onto your forum. I've been a long time fan of this Memphis Forum, and have derived a lot of benefits from it. Thanks guys for all the insights, cautions and warnings. Usually when I get a day off, I'll come to Memphis and just cruise the routes suggested, and occasionally partake. I cruised up and down Lamar around 10: 30 today and saw several WSW taking their strolls. I've tried on occasions to take pix, sometimes with success with a reasonable image. I got one today of a brunette lass close to the Chicken place. I'm sure someone would recognize her, as I have seen her before on EP a couple of weeks back.
I did partake today. Hooked up with Angel, Brandy's protege and had a very nice excursion with her. All of the previous postings I've seen on her have been positive, and I can concur. When we were chatting, the word "notel" escaped my mouth, and I found that she and Brandy are ardent readers of this forum. She thought I was a regular poster, but I assured her I wasn't, but would post a positive experience, CBJ and FS unrushed with meaningful dialogue, all in a dream, of course.
I recently read an article on how the offender database varies from state to state and has gotten in some places too big to get out of control. This was a few weeks ago and dont remember the states that these people were required to register. There were a couple states where prostitution and solictation made you eligeible.
One guy had to register after getting drunk wandering out into his front yard and taking a leak, exposing himself to a passing cop car.
A woman had to register when she let her daughter's boyfriend (both were 17) move in with them so he could finish out senior year of high school when his dad got transfered out of the country. Her crime was promoting indecent acts with a minor.
There were numerous instances of people who were barely legal themselves getting caught in a realtionship with someone a year or 2 younger than they were. I knew a guy in college who ot teased since he took a weekend off to go back home and go to prom Freshman year. In some states he would be a sex offender.

The "registered sex offender database" is reserved for individuals guilty of Sex abuse, Sexual Battery, Criminal Sexual Conduct, Rape, Child Molestation, etc. Note that Statutory Rape is still conisdered "rape" and is an offense for which you'd have to register.
The logic behind it is that if prostitution were considered a "registerable sexual offense" in TN (or most other states), the database would be huge and un-manageable, and every neighborhood and nearly every street would have a registered sexual offender on it. And the intent of the database or what people really want to know is "where are the rapists and scumbags who prey on kids".
Consentual acts (with the exception of acts involving minors) are almost exclusively not part of this registration issue.

Florida is one of those states...
Sex offenders with certain convictions can apply to be removed for non-violent offenses.
