Watch out for potential Police Scam

 Hey fellow mongers,
Got a call today from the "Melbourne Police Department" saying that my phone number was the last to contact a SW from AdultSearch at 10 pm last night. The "officer" claims that the SW in question was not only a missing and trafficked person from a 3rd world country, but an underaged 17 year old working against her will. I tried to play dumb, but the "officer" name dropped the website and the time I was texting. I even googled the number I got a call from and it was actually listed as the official Melbourne Police Department number, so I was convinced that I was royally fucked.
Now I have mongered my fair share in the past, and had a run-in with the law in the past and would even like to apply for federal jobs that require a background check, so I freak out whenever potential legal action against me is involved. He said I had two options: 1) I "take my chances" and fight the arrest warrant, and they come and pick me up within an hour and I stay there between 5-10 or pay a $50,000 bail, or 2) I take a "Sexual Evaluation" exam containing 25-50 questions over the phone ("because of covid") and pay a restitution to have everything dropped and nothing on my record.
Now I'm admittedly pretty gullible, and the first dude sounded very convincing. Through all of my mongering I've never faced any blow back from police so the idea that this was a scam didn't occur to me. So I hopped on the option 2 at that point. He then confirms my selection and transferred me to the "officer in charge of collecting the restitution payment". The second "officer" fucked up the entire scam, because unlike the first "officer" who spoke with authority and actually sounded educated, this guy had a heavy island accent, claimed the "Mexican cartel" was involved, and became pretty aggressive when I asked questions about the details of the process. They also told me that I couldn't hang up, or their "computers would go crazy and take the phone disconnecting as proof I'm trying to run", and they would execute the arrest warrant.
The kicker is, the second "Officer" wanted me to pay the restitution through zelle. Huge red flag, even for a dumbass gullible guy like me. The second kicker is, the email associated with the police department was a "Gmail" address.
Now I'm trying to stall with the second "officer" while also trying call a different department of the Melbourne Police Department to confirm that I was speaking to a legit officer, but my damn work phone was acting up. Then I started to google "police payment zelle" to look for something, and came across this:

I then hung up on the scammers, called the police department on my now free cell phone, and the receptionist confirmed that the police would never take a payment over the phone, and definitely not through Zelle. I didn't give any details about myself or the accusations though.
Thought I might share this with y'all just in case there is another guy as gullible and dumb as I am. If the first guy never transferred me to the second guy who sounded nothing like a cop and had my antennas up, I probably would've ended up paying the money. That first guy had me shook. He had to have scammed a bunch of dudes because the way he seemingly effortlessly pulled of being a cop was too convincing.
P.S. The number in question that they "caught me" texting I believe was from this page - https://adultsearch.com/florida/fort-lauderdale/female-escorts/2670284.
Man, been wanting to see her for a while but didn't bite the bullet. I feel she would be great date, I usually prefer women in 30's but that body look like in the 20's. I texted a few times, said it is 2.0 coins for hh and no BBJ. But man do I love these Brazilians although many of them play a bunch of games.
I also asked for rates but she rated 1. 5 for hh, this was about 1 month ago, I guess inflation is taking toll.
