Classic "name and shame" bullshit, linking all these guys to "human trafficking" when I promise those messages are probably pretty standard and indicated nothing more than consensual adults willing to exchange money for sex. Pure pandering to the moral guardians, nothing more. And a complete waste of taxpayer dollars. Those detectives could have been doing literally anything else and it would have been more productive and made the county safer than this bullshit.
Focus on actual traffickers, Chad, not just padding your stats with the low-hanging fruit of fake StG ads.
Kinda, sorta know a guy that was caught up in this BS. His pic and name are on one of Chad's montages. Of course, everyone sees Human Trafficking and that minors may be involved, so he is immediately labeled a predator and is condemned by all. I looked him up and here are the final charges against him after all that BS.
796072 F-PROS3204 (MF) SOLICITING ANOTHER TO COMMIT PROSTITUTION (PRINCIPAL. FS 777.011).
Dude lost his lucrative job the day after the presser as the local news posted his company name. Also, his wife had to bail him out. That charge above, yep, is a fucking misdemeanor. Like most first-time misdemeanors, any decent attorney will make this go away, but not the shaming and family damage. Look, I get it. Especially any real trafficking or anything related to minors. Those fucks should be locked up and be administered some good ole prison justice. But what a waste of resources and BS shaming for a first-time misdemeanor charge that will probably go away. Ha, how about spending some time and resources on the dboys I see walking around Nebraska and other areas slinging shit? That's a much better use of my taxpayer money and community resources IMHO.
