I have been keeping up with the posts about 901 Escorts and whether they are police, etc... I decided to call them today. Here is what happened: I called the number and 'Amanda' answered. She said Rachel was ready and waiting at the Hampton Inn at Poplar and Shady Grove / Ridgeway. Said to call in 30 min. when I was close. So I played it exactly as she wanted. I called again and she said room # 107, just go there and knock and Rachel would be expecting me. So I called the Hampton and asked the desk to connect me with room 107. He said it was a vacant room. Said 207 was vacant too. So I called 'Amanda ' back... Amanda said, "oh, she probably just stepped out for a minute". I explained that there was NO ONE CHECKED IN that room. -What "Amanda' was saying didn't add up you see. She said, well, I guess she is not there, then. So I pressed further, playing it her way. I said, "well, I want to see her... Can I?" She hung up. Called back, and started getting the voice mail. SO, I drove over there. Guess who was parked across from #107? Two unmarked MPD cars talking to each other. I left and came back 25 min later. They had a guy detained near the stairs close to that room. So it looks like 901escorts is a sting. If not, then it is a group of silly girls playing a very dangerous game and looking to get hurt by trying to hustle the wrong person out of their money. Either way, they are not legit. Coincidence about the bust in front of Rachel's supposed 'room'? I think not! You see, you call, they tell you where to go, you go, and when you knock on 107's door they arrest you... got it? good. Case closed.
Re: Prostitution statutes
Does anyone know if prostitution or solicitation of prostitution is considered a sex offense?

Did anyone see this article in yesterday's commercial appeal? I thought it rather interesting and the impact it will have on the hobby. It's supposed to go into effect at the beginning of the year, but I'm sure club owners will be appealing and cause some delays. It's basically new regulations that takes alcohol out of the clubs and requires dancers AND escorts of agencies to have worker permits. Here's the link to the article and below are the highlights. I would think with the new regulations that it could force more activity on the streets. Your thoughts?

1) No alcohol sales or consumption on the premises.
2) Existing and future adult-oriented businesses must obtain licenses from a new five-member citizen board, to be appointed by the county mayor.
3) All employees of the establishments, including dancers, will be required to obtain an annual permit and undergo criminal background checks.
4) Certain criminal convictions, such as for prostitution, will keep women off stripper poles. Club owners convicted of crimes potentially could lose their license to operate in the county.
