Watch for really big coral heads as it is shallow on the north side of the island The rooms are actually huts over the water. We park our boat right behind our hut. Rooms are outrages price wise. The trip to Cuba the Port of Varadero was cool when travel was allowed. A dollar went a long way and hookers were cheep and really hot they want to stay for as long as possible. I have a 34 foot offshore w twin 300 Suzuki engines. Since you don't know about boats, or how long it takes to travel Ill help you. They have engines and not motors, motors are electric and not gas. We get about 3 miles to a gallon. But Moss marine is down and fuel is tougher to get. We can get to the keys with out fueling but to be safe get gas! To go to Cuba you have to fuel up in Key West. Then two to three hours at 45 to Cuba Also clear customs as the coastguard will board you on the way back. And we got helicopters working and blimps.

The trip through Lake O on the big dig is cool but takes to long as you have a bunch of locks. The lake can be tricky if the water level is low. When you get to the other side the best bet is to hook up with others for safety. The gulf stream can get rough. I like the trip but be prepared to be but searched coming back.
