I could see providers more often by getting gift cards at Kroger as it looks like a normal credit card charge at Kroger whereas multiple cash withdraws look suspicious.

I say theoretically, because I know of no cases where this has happened, and I assume Kroger or whomever would require a search warrant. Then again, there's no guarantee the retailer would even require a warrant.
