Do your regulars ignore your texts / calls at times or are you referring to a gal that you text / call for the very first time that ignores you? That sucks that your other regular blew you off after a few texts. I have found that my regulars always call me back or text me within one or two hours after I call / text them. I usually get a response within 5 minutes. But it can be the luck of the draw, if you will. These gals have boyfriends, kids, husbands, even girlfriends! But as you say V, there is no excuse for not responding to a trusted and well known client no matter what is going on in the providers life (other than a real life issue or family matter). Shit, the provider should just text the client the next day and explain what happened or just say,"I had some personal shit going on and that is why I blew you off". Drive a nice little California Special and cop pulled me over and insisted that I was going 55 in a 35 + construction zone (this was a 4am). Then tried to tell me that the registration was invalid, out of date and did not belong to the this car. I have five other cars in the drive way all registered and insured. Argued with him for 15 minutes. Of course he wrote me a ticket. Got home, compared tag to registration and all was correct. Needless to say. Typical now a days!

For example, if you are walking down the street and a cop asked to see your I'd you could tell him to bugger off. However, he could say you fit the description of someone we are looking for or there was a fight down the street and you are coming from that direction. Now this complete BS but the cops use these lies to create probable cause.

With your case in particular the cop is allowed to let the dog sniff your car. If the dog alerts then he has probable cause to search your vehicle. It is BS but this is how they circumvent our rights. Besides a dog alerting a cop can say I smelled marijuana smoke in you car or liquor on your breath. Just to search your car.

Not to get off on a tangent but I read a study recently. There was a report that dogs were wrong more often when searching minorities cars. The study said this because after the dog alerted the cops didn't find drugs in the vehicle. But the study found the dogs weren't wrong. They found the cops lied about the dogs alerting and so of course, when they searched the car they didn't find anything. The study found that the cops lied more often with minority suspects. So cops will even lie about a dog alerting to get around your rights.

This made wish the dogs could talk. So they could say "I didn't alert on shit". These poor dogs were accused of being racist because of lying cops.

I have complained but have not gotten any results other than the officer was doing his job. I know to expect this so I keep my vehicle mechanically sound and my papers up to date. It does not prevent LE from the stops with the usual line,"you touched the center line" or "your touched the white line on the right side of the road". They create probable cause and always, never fail to ask the "may I search your vehicle" ensues. I always counter with no but I get the usual,"What do you have to hide?" which I counter with,"Nothing to hide but my 4th amendment rights to protect." I have never been put in cuffs but I have had been delayed up to 2 hours waiting on K-9's to come and sniff around my vehicle. They have never alerted. To prove these stops were BS, I even begged the officer to give me a ticket so I can take it to court as I wnat to pay for committing a violation of the traffic code. I am always refused as they know a judge will have their ass for bringing such a trivial charge to a busy court and besides a BS charge at that for not one driver drives in a complete perfect line and does not at one point in their drive touch lines on either the right or left side of the road.

These are cases of DWB (driving while black) and it is unfortunate that the non white brothers are now experiencing this too but at least it is not a matter of routine for you as it is for us. I am glad you were able to get some justifiable action in your case but in 99. 9% of the cases the officer just continues with this BS action.

I feel so bad for the minorities who are subjected to LE bullshit every fucking day of their lives. NC, I can't even begin to imagine, nor can any other older (40's plus) Caucasian male, the pain you must go through when dealing with LE who routinely abuse their power to destroy the lives of minorities. Be Safe[/QUOTE]Been there, at least three times. Excuses were : bad tail lights. Which worked, refused search, no K9; , speeding. Somehow was allowed to go; , and my favorite. "A car similar to yours was reported on a crime". I did allow a search to show them I had no stolen valuables, while recording with my cell phone, the other cop did not like that an had an attitude. I quoted that this is a public place, this is my car, I can record, and that was the end of that. They found nothing, and just to bugger them I drove 15 under the limit, as they followed me for a mile (that was before the ridiculous law that was passed about driving under the speed limit).

People, we have rights, and unless there is a witness in the car with you, record the encounter. Use your cell phone if it has that capability. In my case I allowed the search because I was alone, and wanted to see what other BS excuse they could come up with while I recorded. Sad to know that those who are supposed to be on the "good side" are lying in order to fill out their quotas while calling us criminals. It is all hypocrisy and double standards.

When I started in the PI business in 1992, pinhole cameras were very expensive for what you got. About a grand and you still need a recording device. Today you can get a wireless color pinhole camera and the receiver for less than 200 bucks. You can get a small camera, mp3 player / recorder for a about 100 bucks.

It is all hypocrisy and double standards.[/QUOTE]Just so everyone knows While I was not out Mongering I was not willing to share with LE where I was coming from or going to, and had no real good answer as to why I was where I was (I could easily taken one of a dozen routes) and I refused the search 1. I knew there was nothing in the car but 2. Its easier for a lawyer to throw out any evidence that LE "claims" they found during an unauthorized search.

Keep in mind the police have and will search whenever they want. And its up to you to protect yourself. Take a few minutes and check your car. Remove trash and any extras (do you want LE or wife to find it?) make sure all lights are working (that includes the license plate lights! Yes LE will stop you for that as well).

And the driving under the speed limit law only apply s to being in the left lane. Just so you know.
