I do not see any immediate direct effects, but a few residual delayed effects
Has any monger considered what the pending govt shutdown might have on our hobby? I'm thinking less LEO, delayed disability checks. Etc. Always a glass half full playa.
Should not see any change in LE presence as BPD is funded by local taxes unless there is a program funded by federal dollars. But those type of programs are usually Joint Taskforce type of ish going after major players in the candy industry or human trafficking.
Could start to see more talent on the streets with cheaper donation rates. As social programs managed at the federal level come to a halt such as SNAP managed by Department of Agriculture, and Section 8/ Vouchers managed by HUD or the SSI payments managed by office of Social Security. Some girls not usually out will start to seek easy cash on the streets. There will also be an residual effect on the economy, if the shutdown goes for an extended period of time, regular people hours will get cut or outright layoffs will occur, again which drive more talent not usually seen into the strip clubs and on the tracks.
With all this, also expect an uptick in crime, more then the normal. Crimes of opportunity will increase. This hobby opens you up to increased chances of carjacking, robbery and dash and runs, setups by new gurls and their bf.
Expect also better donation rates as the street candy should be cheaper for the SW to buy as supply should increase as DEA, TSP and Border Patrol will not be on the job as much, some will have to work and not be getting paid, can see how they will not be as motivated and through at their jobs if they are working without pay, so more stuff will enviable get though causing an increase in supply. So if the gurls are getting their fix cheaper, they should be more relaxed with the donation demand.
Also expect prosecutors to not focus om low level crimes as their caseloads will increase, because some Federal cases will be pushed down to state level, and some of the State's cases that are lower level will get pushed down to the local the, which means our hobby may have less focus put on it temporarily.
Expect gas prices to slip as well, give your wallet a small break from the high gas prices.
For the most part, this could have a positive impact other than the potential increase crime rates.
