The authorities look the other way when it comes to sugar daddy / sugar baby arrangements, but technically, they are illegal prostitution most of the time. PPM is definitely prostitution, and allowances and gifts are too if there's a deal of pay for play. It's not something the authorities are going to waste their time trying to prosecute. Trips, gifts, and money are part of regular relationships too, so it's hard to prove.

However, the authorities are NOT going to look the other way if a 16 or 17 year old girl (or her parents or protective brother) complains after the fact about a sugar daddy. The prosecutor will treat the gifts and money as payment and prosecute the sugar daddy for prostitution. And it's going to be very hard to convince a jury that it's not illegal prostitution. The penalties for prostitution involving a minor are much worse. Also, if the sugar daddy took the girl on a trip, then the sugar daddy could be looking at federal charges for transporting a minor across state lines for sex.

The sugar daddies hooking up with a 17 year old are taking a huge risk. If they get caught because someone complains, they're lives are going to be ruined. Registering as a sex offender stays with you for life. That's why I checked IDs on the several young sugar babies I saw. Fortunately none were under 18. I made it clear that all of my videos were "private" and that there's decent equipment out there that can be used in all situations with ease. We all take risks in this game. Everyone is free to decide how much risk they want to take. For example, PPM is illegal, and most are violating that one. An allowance could be over the line too depending on your communications about what you're paying for. So again, I was just letting the group know that secret videotaping in a private space is illegal in Georgia. I didn't think it's a well known law.

Everyone is free to decide whether to worry about the legality of secretly taping. Some like me won't do it at all -- It seems wrong to me regardless of whether it's legal. If others don't agree and think it's fine, then they can decide for themselves whether to take the risk. It's not the same expectation of privacy in Target, McDonald's, or a big office as in a private home. For example, no one expects to be able to strip naked in their cubicle or the produce aisle. Are signs in your home enough to make the private home space not private? If the signs are only at the front door, my guess is no. Reasonable people would assume they're being filmed out front, not inside. If the signs are prominently displayed in the bedroom or living room where the deed is going down, then maybe, maybe not. However, wouldn't that put a damper on the mood with most sugar babies?
