Every tax change is always to percentages, but never to policy. Its like this for a reason, the reason you just outlined above. The us tax code is the most advantageous to businesses. The ability to carry forward / back losses to offset profits, accelerated deprecation, a multitude of deductions, etc that bring down taxable income. And yet, with that being said. I hate to admit it, but the rich pay way more in taxes than the avg person (as they should tho, because they disproportionately use and benefit from public services as well). If looking at dollar amount of taxes paid per tax bracket, the higher you go, the less people there are and they more they pay in taxes overall. I'm just an avg layman myself, but fortunately with a decent job / career, but I hate hearing peers complain about taxes. Considering corporations are triple taxed (fica, income, capital gains) and if you're a person with a paycheck and any dependents you basically pay nothing in taxes, even less if you have a house. I'm definitely not a republican, FYI.

It could be 2, 3, 5 years, just so if there's a downturn in the economy, they have the means to ride out lower contributions. But there needs to be cap. Once that level is reached, then that is no longer "tax free", but taxed at a significant rate. As for employees of non-profits, I propose they adopt the Ben&Jerry model. The top earning employee cannot make more than 7 x more than the lowest paid employee. (that was the case until Ben&Jerry was bought by Unilever, then after that no policy). Tax free status is a gift from the taxpayers for the benefit of those who need help; not the enrich management.

(Remember that? All this bullshit about taxes is just that--bullshit. Some of you guys complain that the wealthy don't actually pay the 39% rate because of deductions they're entitled to. Well, duh! A simple question: when you do your taxes, do you look for ways to INCREASE them or do you look for way to DECREASE them? Whether you coniser it "fair" or not, they're simply taking advantage of what's available to them--same as everybody else.

And then there's the comments that the "average" or "lower" wage-earners don't have those deductions available to them. Again, duh! I believe the latest statistics show that less than 50% (or somewhere around that level) of the working population actually pay ANY taxes. So, of course they don't have adjustments available to them--a huger percentage of them aren't paying anything to begin with. And those that do have to pay are most likely paying a lesser percentage than the wealthy. Naturally, there are exceptions but, generally speaking, that's is the way it is.

Now here's a novel idea regarding corporate taxes: get rid of them! The ONLY people who pay ANY taxes are consumers. Raise the corporate tax rate and up goes the cost of goods. Let's face it, every time McDonald's has to pay higher taxes (state, federal, whatever), the price of their hamburgers goes up. Ditto for Procter & Gamble, GM, Apple and every other business. Obviously, it would never happen because the general public is too stupid to understand this simple concept--they'd rather "punish" big, bad corporate America.

I also like hte idea of making them become similar to non-profit /501 c3 orgs in that they have to keep detailed books and records, and their goal as an organization isn't to drive profits. So in any years / periods they have any profit they either have to reinvest those funds in the organization, send out bonuses to some / all employees, donate the money, etc. Then, preachers could still skim from the tithes but at a higher, legal level. For example, they could account for all income, all operating expenses and any other cash outflows, and anything left over hte preacher could just give as a bonus to himself and the deacons if he wanted to be nice. The only "downfall" would be the necessity to have more detailed accounting records from your local church in the hood. However, the increased compliance / necessity could create a need for more jobs in that area of tax / audit / accounting / compliance both in government and in the private sector. Imagine crossroads having a team of accountants and auditors on the payroll.

This is all inconsequential to me as I live in a house worth less then a car, and I can and have lived off of 20000 a year. Illegals can still get cared for at hospitals. The hospital doesn't pay for it. Everyone else pays in the form of higher charges for every service the hospital provides. In some states they qualify for free housing. Taxes paid by us pay for that. The small amount of the illegal population that leads a life of crime wastes tax supported resources like police. When they steal, prices go up at every store. We pay more becuase of it. So yeah, we 100% pay fucking more to support illegals in this country.

While I do think most are here to chase a better life, I do believe they need to go through the legal process / path to becoming a citizen if they want to stay.

I admit I don't come around here much anymore, precisely because there's not much new good escort talent, and I've gotten bored with the same old discussions cycling through all the time. And I really don't want to read about politics here.

But I was kind of intrigued by a discussion a while back on where all the talent has gone in a once rich market of Cincinnati. It got me thinking. And here's where I figure it ended up.

1) A lot of them died. I stopped counting, but it was getting close to 30 providers I knew who died, mostly of overdoses, over the years around here. I miss some a lot. So do their families.

2) It was always about the drugs. I know there's this mythos here about the sweet teen thing doing this for a little extra cash to spend at the mall. Honestly, they call these unicorns for a reason. They don't exist and never did. Out of a few hundred I saw over the years, there was maybe one like this -- an 18 year old who needed some cash to fix her car, actually showing me the belt she was having replaced. That was an awesome experience. Sadly, even though she had a good time, she never repeated. Well over 90% of the providers were doing this to support a drug habit, and that may be a conservative estimate.

3) A lot of addicts do eventually recover. A lot who were escorting have, if you follow their Facebook feeds at all. And even though you never should believe anything you read on Facebook, the fact is, some of them do get better. A lot get better several times, but they stay clean longer each time, and eventually it sticks. And this is a whole lot better than item one. I know of one in particular who did particularly well, but more on the way, and I'm sure a lot more I don't know of personally.

4) The pipeline isn't getting filled. Heroin and opiates were the main driver, and I think the crackdown on pills and pill mills did ultimately have an effect on new addicts entering the system. I think more of the younger girls have gotten the message of how badly this can ruin their lives.

5) Recovered and non-recovered alike "retire" into familiar regulars they like. Even if it's not a sugar daddy relationship, they may have one or a handful of guys they're seeing for support. And if they don't have a raging drug habit to support, it's a lot easier. Really, any decent escort can go this route eventually, if they want. The ones you see advertising in heavy rotation for a long time, they're generally not worth a repeat visit. (There are some exceptions here. Katie (BTOTB) and Marley come to mind, IMO.).

6) They got jobs. The job market is tight, in case you haven't noticed. A criminal record on drug charges, petty theft, etc. Will not keep you unemployed. You can get hired if you're breathing and show up to work, in many cases.

7) They got free money. Obviously the pandemic stimulus pumped a lot of money into the system, and the ones who have things together enough to have custody of their kids and file tax returns got plenty, and have it coming monthly through at least the rest of the year too.

8) Sugar daddies. I think those non-addict unicorns may exist. And even the addicts who are younger and better looking are opting for the likes of Seeking Arrangements and Secret Benefits. I shop, but don't buy, because of the time, expense and time it takes to seal a deal, and because I've got enough UTRs left from the glory days to keep me satisfied.

I'm going to preface this with I know that I will never be able to change your views on this. But, the reality is that you're so detached to reality, it's kind of amazing you can even get an erection to fuck, let alone have enough blood left in your brain to type out this word salad that I see here.

The vast majority of undocumented aliens that we have in this country are visa overstays. They came and were admitted legally, but, overstayed their visa. No fucking wall would ever fix that problem.

99.9% of the immigration cases that are in immigration court right now in Ohio are either folks appealing their green card determination, or, being pushed through the removal process because they have committed a crime.
