If they determine that human trafficking was the case then the Feds will be involved and more then likely the place will be shut down for good. The spa owners could face serious jail time. The girls will either make a deal in hopes of getting their greencard or they will clam up and then be sent back to their country
This is terrible news about Yoshikos.
Why can't the cops concentrate on busting real criminals.
I just find it odd that if that really happened at the y as its being reported then why are all of the other spas still open, are thety not risking the same fate. They all talk to each other the Emos (mamasas no when it is hot) why would they be open. I just don't belive these stories, kind of like a urban legend that keeps growing. Where are there pics in the county jail or booking reports I mean its not like we book 5-6 asian women every day in Bham.
Sad to hear about troubles at the Y. Traveled to B'ham about two weeks ago and had a really good first visit there. The overall attitude of the staff was fantastic. Sunshine was cute as a button.
The experience completely recalibrated my expectations for service.

Hey if you don't belive me go talk to the waitress at the O'Charlies thats right next to Yoshiko they saw it all happen I've driven past super sauna but it looked deserted to me. The other spas don't really talk with Bali Spa but they talk with super sauna and vip.
Remember last year when LE was making all the arrests off of craigslist in Birmingham the news didn't cover it until all the arrests was made. And it was something like 32 or 31 arrests. The FbI spokemen even gave a interview about. Just like the same thing happened in Philadelphia and new york thru to D.C. When they arrested alot of illegal taxi drivers and spa owners for trafficking girls.
Yoshiko has 36 revealing reviews by its customers, more than any spa at the state of Alabama. LE doesn't need to do any detective work, they can only do a simple Google search on the web, and they can get all the evidence and information to bust a massage parlor. Most of the time it is us who are posting all these graphic details about our experience that is making the LE job easier.

I drove by Yoshiko's today at 5:30PM and they were closed.
Dang! I really hate to hear about Yoshiko. I recently left the B'ham area, but visited Yoshiko the last time I was over there. Had a great time as usual. I just wish there was a reliable place like Yoshiko where I'm at now.
But give them a few months and they will probably be open again. I just hope Ruby and the other Mamasan will still be in charge of the place and it will still be a great place to visit.
Too many details is not good for anyone. Minimum information on a public forum should be just common sense. There are back channel avenues to share more detailed information if you feel comfortable sharing.

Guys. Posting about how good a place is. Is ok. Just minimize certain info.
Remember places like the Y are easily found. Even one of the websites that advertises on this forum, had a picture of the outside of the Y and reviews, read for a fee, describing everything in detail.
So LEO knows its there. They know what goes on there. They knew this without this forum's additional information. They are limited by the law as to what they can do to close places like the Y in B'ham.
Be thankful about that last sentence. In Nashville, they were allowed to go much further, killing off 30-40 parlors in less than a few months. Killed a few "legit" ones in the process. And took a few strip clubs too. Now we have. Well, not much.
Little prostitution left, but hey, if you shoot someone, you have a very high percentage chance of getting away with it. Same with beating your wife, stealing cars, selling drugs, terrorizing your neighbors, etc. At least Metro Nashville Cops can claim to be "tough on crime" for busting women who sell sex. (Rant Off)
