Picked up a copy of the Anchorage Press. Toward the back I saw an ad for "Massage for Tourists". It listed a familiar phone #, for Mings. Also listed the new address posted here in the forum recently. Said they were giving discounts for seniors, couples, and military. My! Is this their new target customer base? I get a laugh thinking about Jenny giving a massage to some 72 year old female from Florida wondering how she is gonna make a tip!
I saw a post on CL last Thursday that had a ring of familiarity to it. I called the number, and lo and behold, Connie answered the phone. She said that they were in a new location, so I set up an appointment for 11:00.
The location is in downtown Anchorage, near the corner of 4th Ave. And see St. It's inside that blue-colored tourist mall, across the street from the Army-Navy Store. I wasn't feeling too comfortable when I saw the "333" address on the building, and the feeling didn't get any better when I went inside. There were people milling everywhere in the shops inside the building. The room Connie told me she was in is at the back of the building.
I approached the room and couldn't believe what I was seeing. It was a room, just a big room. There was a blue curtain across the doorway to the room. There is also a long window in the room. A painted sign on it said "Tourist Massages". Connie appeared from behind the curtain, leading two older ladies out. She greeted me and led me inside.
The room she is in was divided by another blue curtain. The front half of the room is set up as a waiting area. I could see a massage table, stand, and other equipment and supplies in the back half of the room. Connie took me to the back half of the room and pulled the curtain shut. It moved back and forth from the breeze in the hallway to where I could actually see and hear the people moving around out there. The lights in the room were glaringly bright. My comfort level dropped even more.
Connie ask me how long I wanted. I was going to go for my customary hour. I turned to look at the window and noticed that it only had one of those kitchen curtains on it. The kind that only covers the bottom half of the window, allowing sunlight to come through the top half of the window. I stepped over to the window and noted that I was tall enough to see over the curtain and out into the hallway. It was then that I surmised that someone who was as tall as I could walk up to the window from the outside and observe the activities in the massage room.
I asked Connie if she was going to be going back to their old location. From what I gathered from her answer, she is going to be there for quite some time. She said they are doing tourist massages now. I looked around the room again, then told Connie that I wasn't comfortable with the setup and would have to pass. As much as I like Connie, and have enjoyed her company in the past, I just don't thing I've got the stones for that kind of activity in that location. I told her that I would consider trying it out another time and left.
I am hoping beyond hope that this is just a temporary situation for Ming's. IMHO, it would have better served to move Connie and SaSa to the Ming's II location rather than open the spot they have now.

Wow! Looks like Mings is history unless you want just a regular massage. This is a bit disappointing as many of you know Mings was my favorite place. It is a shame that it is gone, but I can understand why. I always thought there was a certain vulnerability there. It is good that no one got hurt.
I noticed an ad on here in the Escort Ads section for AddictingAria. Anyone have any info? She seems very real but I am always hesitant to try these services without having some knowledge beforehand.

Agreed. Once the tourists are gone she will probably change focus.
I noticed that the AMP on 9th Ave is open again and advertising on CL. New girl working there too. Has anyone checked it out yet? If not, I can TOFTT next week.

Saw an ad in the Press in the massage section for a new service called "I Love Massage". The gal is named Peggy. She has been around since the 80's but retired a few years ago. I guess she is back. She must be around 50. She is attractive. Very professional, very experienced. If you've never seen her give her a shot.

Yes, she did work at the Chateau for awhile. She also worked for a gal named Amber who was the best worker I have ever met. Peggy had her own massage deal for many years. She may be getting a little old in the tooth but I'm sure the talent is still there. She is well worth a visit.
