All good points and thanks for not inflating the price.

The reason I had asked about the going rate is because there is usually a baseline market standard in any place.

And more power to you if you can get more for less, and more power to the girl if she can offer less for more.

The baseline in general does go up with inflation, about 20 every 5-8 years or so from what I have noticed in my more than 30 years of hobbying. So if you do the math, I remember when the baseline was 60 for everything.

But if plenty of guys are paying more than the standard, it does not take long for one mamasan to call the other mamasan to increase their house rate. I was there with a mamasan, when that happened back in the late 1980s during the Reagan years. Back then, they didn't split up the house hour and half-hour rate. It was just one price all included. I knew a particular mamasan pretty well since I would give her rides to the market or run errands for her. All the customers must have been making a killing in the stock market back then because all the houses were always busy with lots of girls working. So this mamasan called four or five different houses and asked them if they agreed to 80. They all agreed that everyone had plenty of business to up the rate. And each of the houses she called would call four or five other houses, etc.

So my point is that let's all work together to help keep the rate down. Thanks.

I'm all for keeping prices down, but some things have to be kept in perspective:

1. You get a better price if you are a known regular. Unfortunately, I'm not a known regular anywhere in Atlanta. I used to visit Atlanta every 4 to 6 weeks, but now it's more like 4-6 months between visits. So, even with their good memories, the mamasans do not always recognize me. If I were there once or twice each week, I'm sure that might help in getting a lower price.

2. When I do visit, I'm usually on a really tight schedule. I don't have a choice as to what time of day to go; I usually have a small window of time, and I seize it when I can. I cannot simply take my business elsewhere unless the elsewhere is really close, and I cannot hit up a girl on BP at the last moment, like I can when I'm at home. I know visiting Gold at 10 pm on a Friday night is about the worst possible time to visit. When I was there, there were 2 cars in the front. 4 cars in the back and 3 cabbies waiting in the back. Nobody wants to watch money walk out the door, but when they are turning away people and telling them to come back later, they are going to be less apt to beg you to stay.

3. The regular posters on this forum are a tiny piece of the business. You can go with the theory that every little bit helps, but the reality is that we cannot, and do not, have a very appreciable effect on the overall market. If we could drive prices down through a concerted effort, that would be wonderful. I don't see it happening, though.

That being said, I'm absolutely going to give the Kid Cisco method a try next time I'm in Atlanta, and I'm going to do it at Gold. I'll stick at $160, even if I have to get dressed and walk on out the door. I'll report my results.

When the baseline is 160 and the lady gets 160 instead of 200, she is thinking that she is +160, instead of -40. But when the baseline is 200 and the lady gets 160 instead of 200, then she is thinking that she is -40, instead of +160. So if everyone works together and say 160 is all we have in our pockets, then the lady gets conditioned to the 160 baseline.

The problem, of course, is that not enough people are ever going to go along with the program, IMO. And, Kid Cisco himself stated that he does not go at the busiest times. So, what's a fair price at the busiest times? The girls are not stupid; they may be greedy, but they're not stupid. If there's another guy walking through the door any minute who is going to pay over $300, the girls do not care about your $160.

In any event, I'll be at Gold next month, I think on a Wednesday night. We'll see what happens when I stick at $160. And prior, I used to be in the Bay Area, NJ, and Dallas. But I've visited / hobbied in many major cities in the US, including some in Mexico, Philippines, and Europe. In Houston, I was a regular for so long that I forgot how to negotiate. But even if I see a new girl, all the money was put on the table for the lady to see up front and standard services are expected or you don't come back. In other cities where I am visiting temporarily, I always read the boards and got an idea of the baseline before going in. I just say that is how much I want to pay. If they agree to it, fine. If not, I walk out. I didn't become Big Money without first being a cheap bastard.

The thing that seems to throw me off a bit here in Atlanta is that many of the girls are still cautious because of the recent rash of busts. I can't just start off saying I have 160. And I guess the second idea here is don't negotiate when you are naked with a hard-on, because she can see that she has the advantage.

Then again, I'm no expert here in Atlanta, and I am willing to read and learn from other postings on this.
