I've never tried out an AMP and I've been checking out a few things from going back as far as I can. From most everything I understand it's kinda of like heading into a "Block" bar. The house fee for most place's seem to be. 70 but the tip is confusing me a bit. You guys describe the same additional options for. 40, .60 and $. I just looking to make sure I bring enough to take care of the person taking care of me. Also it turns out I'm literally a 15 walk from my apt to 1 AMP and a 15 min drive to about 6 others.

Another question I have would be when you walk in and speak to the house lady and hand over the house fee. Do you have a choice who will be taking care of you or would it be who the house fee is handed over to?

In my opinion, most of the workers and managers (mamasans) in an AMP are very honest and kind. However they ARE in business to make money. So you might have to work to get what you are after without spending more than necessary. My advice is to take about $200 into the place with you. That way you will have enough funds to cover any eventuality.

Normally, it works like this. You will enter the door of the AMP and you will be in a kind of vestibule. There will be a window, another door, and a buzzer. If no one is at the window when you enter, you press the buzzer and someone (could be a masseuse or the mamasan) will come to the window and ask what you want. You, naturally, reply that you wish to have a massage. If you pass muster (often this means you don't look like a cop, are not black, and don't look crazy) the second door will be opened and you will be led to a room. Either the mamasan or a masseuse will ask you whether you want 1/2 hour or 1 hour. The house fee will be quoted and you will pay it. You will be asked if you want a shower. My advice is to take the hour and the shower. Don't worry about your wallet or money. They will be safe. Normally, there is a rotation, and you do not get to choose. Once you become a regular and get to know all of the workers, you can request a favorite girl. But you will not usually get a line-up as such. It's like most things in life. You have to pay your dues.

You will be led to the shower and either told to shower on your own or helped with a shower or table shower. Table showers are becoming rare. But under some conditions you have a choice.
