Why is the local scene different?
Due to my travels, I occasionally check out other areas to see what they have to offer. It seems that the DC area, and to a great extent Baltimore, suffer from a dearth of white options for massage.
I don't travel the Northeast Corridor, so I haven't spent much time looking there. But I see caucasians offering Rs&Ts everywhere from Southern California, Seattle, Las Vegas, Dallas-Fort Worth, Chicago, Nashville, Charlotte, Raleigh, Atlanta, and several locales in Florida.
Florida makes sense due to all the retirees down there. Both those wanting just massages with extras and the somewhat younger, early retirees, who provide those services.
Anybody have any ideas about what makes the DC area different from the rest of these areas?

After work I gave this place a visit because of a post on this board. Let me tell you Brahs something, don't waste your time. Now the girl for AMP Nova standards was young and hot!! She told me she 32. I'm thinking late 30's. But for NOVA that's barley legal.

This is interesting for me as I've never received a table shower at a Chinese place. It wasn't playful / sensual like Korean ones. These women are pros and are smart enough to figure out what's the usual menu for any place they choose to work. And, if they want to provide fewer (or more) options, they'll usually just move to another AMP that fits their preferred style.
That being said, there's still the potential for a lot of variation among individual AMP women. That's why it's important to always get the name of your provider and include it in any review. Maybe Mimi isn't into rimming but maybe others are. And it's also worth noting that rimming is probably close to the top of the list when it comes to YMMV factors. It's been discussed before in the forum that it all comes down to the individual provider because the same AMP can have good, bad, and in-between.
Massage quality often lacking with non-Asian FBSM providers

New Chinese places in Manassas
I found out about this new Chinese place in Manassas at the beginning of the summer a couple of months ago and decided to test it out. 50 for half hour and 70 for the hour are the rates. The do have a self serve shower if you need to use it (I never used it). On 3 occasions I have seen Maggie, petite cute face Chinese girl. Sometimes it happens that a provider convinces the client that the relationship is the real deal, but sometimes it's the other way around. However it happens, starting any kind of relationship on a foundation of lies is a recipe for disaster.
This married AMP provider story is just the latest tale of woe in this forum. Other members have posted about relationships with providers addicted to gambling, or drugs, and those who just needed never-ending sums of money for themselves or their families.
The bottom-line is that there's a better chance of hitting the lottery than there is of finding a fairy-tale, happily-ever-after relationship between providers and clients. It's a transaction, nothing more. Which doesn't mean you can't like the person with whom you're transacting. Just don't confuse it for something else.

It was apparent she'd had some training. However, you're correct that it wasn't deep tissue. That could reflect a difference in training as well as in cultures.
It's been years since I visited Demi; I think she was still using the name Juicy Jenna at the time. My best recollection is that she leaned more toward the sensual side of the art than the therapeutic. I've never seen Ashley.
I recall getting some pretty decent massages years ago from Luba and Lena (at least I think it was Lena) at the old Sense of Europe spa in Silver Spring; both of them had clearly received training. Resurrection into legitimacy
Dreamt up a visit to Spirit Wellness after having been gone for some time. Wanted to get another peak at Lisa's wonderfully shaped melons but to my surprise there was a whole new crew.
