Not convinced there is anything "special" about providers running "specials"
She is doing $75 quickie specials until noon tomorrow.
I am not convinced there is anything "special" about providers that run "specials". I say this with all due respect to Johnkat111, and I truly mean that because he is one of the best contributing members on this forum. I also mean no disrespect to Torry. I have never seen her and she may be one of the best providers in SE WI according to the reviews that have been posted.
There is no WIN / WIN here for anyone. Provider or monger.
Its a bad business model for the provider. Yes she may take in more donations for the short run. She may make a connection that leads to a regular visitor. However, once you discount yourself and / or your services its hard to get back to your "regular" donation. You have now set a new standard and every time someone calls they are going to ask for the "special". Not to mention you have to work twice as hard to make the same donation you would have made normally.
The only upside to the monger is the short term lower donation and that's it. The quality of visit and experience starts to diminish because the effort is not the same. She is seeing more mongers and now the risks start to increase (stds). Now she is not available to her regulars or regulars have their visits cut short or interrupted by texts and calls. She goes from a low volume provider or an average volume provider to a high volume provider. Next thing you start to read is that the provider has hygiene problems and FS is like throwing a hotdog down a hallway. She becomes less reliable and then eventually burns out.
Its a slippery slope and a terminal tailspin that eventually leads to a crash and burn.
I would rather see a provider that offers one consistent price and a consistent experience.
Just my two cents.
Good point. Some clarification.
I certainly understand your concern regarding specials. I do think your analysis is broad brush and sometimes true. Whether or not it was specifically a good decision for Torry is another matter. Torry was out of the game for a number of months. From what I understand, she intends to remain low volume but she needs to increase her "regular base" somewhat. The slippery slope you spoke of can be nipped in the bud by the provider simply refusing the lower price once the "special" is over. Like any other business, she can run a special and go back to "every day prices".
Much of your concern centers on high volume providers. Your concerns are valid and very consistently true. Torry would not be immune to those issues if she goes high volume in the long run. I don't pretend to know her that well but I hope she doesn't and I don't think she will. I guess I don't see running a "special" quite as definitively as you do. I do see becoming high volume as a huge issue. But I don't see running a "special" as locking a provider into becoming a long-term high volume provider.
First. You are correct I was speaking in generalizations and painting with a broad brush based on experiences and what I have seen happen in the past. I certainly did not mean to single out Torry or say she was a high volume provider. I don't know Torry and I have never met her. Torry's reviews indicate that she is a first class provider.
You are correct. A provider can end the special at any time and return to normal donations. She can also return to a normal or low volume number of clients simply by not replying to calls or texts.
To me specials are counter productive for all the reasons I have mentioned. They are also the first step in becoming a high volume provider (again this may not apply to Torry at all). I am not a fan of specials or high volume providers.
This brings to mind a BP provider approximately a year ago that was staying at a notel near 27th and Ryan and then moved to another near Rawson and 27th st. She started off with normal prices and then started running "specials" when she moved to the second notel. She became a high volume provider and started getting sloppy with her business model. There was a post here about that. A monger here was with her and 2 guys came directly to her room in the time he was with her. He ended up bolting on the second knock at the door. Her BP ads ended shortly after she included her room number in her BP ad. Not sure if she disappeared because she became a guest of the county, mongers gave up on her, or something worse. She was a great girl when she started but in less than 4 months the experience went from great to awful.
Not a fan of specials or high volume providers as you can tell. Like Sam Kinison once said. I don't want to be with a girl when I can tell what another man had for lunch. I also don't want her to have ice herself down between visitors like the porn star Jasmine use to do when she did gang bangs.
Man you guys are on your A game.
Sounds like Holly. Funny thing is she posted tonight.
Tip of the hat to MIke444 and lipstickbj. Holly is indeed who I was speaking of. I hope she is in a better place now and turning things around. Missed the post on BP. If you guys have the link please post it.
