The Mongers are paying more? For what?
Not surprising. Given the closures in DC, you have alot of mongers coming across the river, and the girls know they are used to paying more. So they figure they can get more, even if they don't offer DC-level service, because hey, its not DC.
We haven't been paying more in DC as for "service" is concerned.
You just proved my point.
There were no complaints from either the provider or facility manager. As I mentioned, they invited me back and offered a free massage after number eight. I'm not in this hobby to make the providers feel good and I'm not in this try and buy a girlfriend. For no TS and a good massage, even with a standard finish I didn't feel obligated to give a tip. And, as I said, there were no complaints. I think they were just happy to have the business. If there were complaints, I would have said I may tip better next time depending on the service (s) provided.
I have a few general rules regagrding this hobby: 1) Don't make me wait. If you don't have girls available, just say so; 2) If the girl (s) you do have are ugly (sometimes really ugly) , don't get mad if I pass. This is my money and I'm not wasting if on something that looks like a refuge; 3) When I pay the stated house fee, I expect to get the minimal service for that, including: a) Courtesy from the provider; be) TS (if the facility has it) with a throrough wash; and 3) a decent non-rushed massage. If I pay for 60 minutes that's what I expect to get. If I don't get all of this, I make it a point to complain to the manager (MMS) and indicate that I will not be back. I also don't tip for bad service.
I'm new to this forum and it's provided a lot of intel on NoVa. I know I was spoiled from the good old days of DC, but it seems there are some / many / a lot on this forum paying DC prices + for standard service. In some cases for less that standard service. I don't get that, but it is your money. Unfortunatly, this has an impact on the service and fees the rest of us have to pay.
Just my thoughts.
Unfortunately, it's mongers like you who contribute to the piss poor attitude that these girls are giving out these days and other mongers have to put up with. So no TS and a good massage and you got an extra service but you did not tip? Yeah, no wonder why you think I paid too much LMAO. Get a clue.
Agreed, some hobbyists' tips are off the scale
FYI,
Out of the $80 house money, the therapist in question recd about $24. 00 of it. Don't think for a second that all of it goes to the house. Anyway, therapy in NOVA is higher than the US average by at least 20 bananas per visit.
Goes to show that living by the giver of all money has its downside as well. As far tipping goes, its a on the person himself if he wants too or not. In BlkPrinces case, IMHO he did what he needed to do. I certainly have had bad experiences in an AMP where I left $10. 00 as a tip for no service but to each his own. Some guys here nay think that they need to leave $80-$100 as a tip for a HJ but I feel otherwise.
PC out
The fact that BlkPrince didn't encounter sheer anger proves that the therapist is getting paid something by the house, and if these places weren't paying the therapists at all, the owners would find themselves with serious legal trouble.
Leaving 80-100 for HJ from a middle-aged spa lady makes no sense, and drives up expectations. The market rate for therapeutic massage at a spa is around 60-80 / hour. There are quite a few younger ladies who do FBSM that includes a quality therapeutic massage and a topless / nude sensual component, which is quite interactive and doesn't require haggling or breathing kimchee, in the 120 range.
This means that the charge for HJ and roaming with a younger masseuse is 40-60 of the total fee. There are some girls who charge 160-180 / hour for FBSM, but these are the top of the field: young, tight-body hotties.
Assuming therapists see just 4 customers a day, if you give an 80 tip, you believe her job is worth 120, 000 / year.
At the end of the day, if someone wants to throw an extra 40-60 of his hard-earned money out unnecessarily, it's his money, but why not try tipping 60 instead of 100, and see if you notice the slightest loss in quality of service, then bank the savings for future ventures?
BlkPrinceVa: You should leave a tip for anything beyond a therapeutic massage. It doesn't have to be the crazy money some people are throwing, even if it's 10-20, just as a sign of appreciation and encouragement, but if you're stiffing them with nothing, it makes them more mercenary and less trusting with the rest of us.
We'll have to agree to disagree.
Unfortunately, it's mongers like you who contribute to the piss poor attitude that these girls are giving out these days and other mongers have to put up with. Get a clue.
Based on the responses to our respective posts: 1) I should have tipped something, even if it was small. I agree and will do so in the future; and 2) Hobbiest like you are driving the cost up by paying way too much for minimal service. It's interesting you never answered my original question so I'll assume that you paid the house 80 and tipped 80 for a total of 160 for standard service. If this is what it takes to pursue this hobby in NoVa, I'll be retiring soon.
Question for the forum: Are we all in agreement that the HJ / HE is an extra service? Isn't this the minimum that we pursue this hobby for? If not, we're saying that we're paying 80 for a massage and maybe a table shower? Is that the general consensus?
