I reached out to Jay today to see what was going on, and she said that one of the limited referrals I sent her way started getting nasty / personal when they couldn't quite agree on terms for a date. She can't remember who it was and deleted the info, and I'm sure there's another side to the story, but I'm going to lay out my personal philosophy on dealing with a referral.

1) Approach each girl with respect. Understand that for every decent, serious Monger she sees, there's probably 10 flakes or assholes. Don't be one of them.

2) None of the girls are under any obligation to see you. Even if you agree to terms, if you show up and she doesn't feel safe, or simply doesn't like something about you, it's ok for her to turn down the date if she doesn't take the money. Even if a girl is completely wrong about you, they have to do whatever they feel is necessary to remain safe.

3) Feel free to ask for what you want and the price you're looking for. Understand that they are entitled to ask for however much they feel their services are worth. That may vary by day, mood, or if you're a lousy fuck. There's a fine line between legit negotiation and being an asshole. If the girl doesn't agree, don't badger her and call her names. If a girl is advertising on BP, she probably expects to get lots of responses. UTR's on the other hand are often frightened away by the feeding frenzy which characterizes us mongers. I was one of those SM's who received Jay's number and contacted her quickly. I will say that Jay and I had great initial communication for a few days. However, when the day came to meet, our discussion quickly spiraled downward. The issue wasn't even terms, per se, but whether she wanted to meet at a nice hotel instead of her incall. Upon reflection, I have to say that trying to get clear answers, directions, and having any type of in depth communication is extremely difficult through text. Texting is the last way to get things ironed out. I should have asked if I could call her to discuss our issue. I don't know if I'm the SM that she spoke to JDBoy about as I pride myself on being a good guy to these women and to 99% of the population as a whole. My contact with Jay is also my first that went south like this. In any event, just food for thought should you find yourself in a situation that is starting to deteriorate.
