I have a question for all you folks, my new york brethren. I'd like to pay a visit to the great city of New York one of these days soon. Thank you.[/QUOTE]Let me answer your question in increments. First of all, in case you're not aware, NYC is pretty much the epicenter for the COVID-19 outbreak in the country. Businesses of all types have been shuttered across the city so it's very unlikely that any of our usual AMP's are still operating. If Mott Street is still open for business it's because they're the only ones who are willing to take the risk. There's no point in staying open if your regulars aren't around. Second of all, if you take a look at the posts going back several months, you would notice that we review a wide range of AMP's around the Manhattan area (like NYAW). Rub and' Tugs come and go in Manhattan so when a new hotspot opens up, you will eventually see a review on it.

The reason that many of us focus on Mott Street is because of three things:

1.) PRICE: As any New Yorker will tell you, costs in Manhattan are exorbitant. Some AMP's in Midtown charge between two to three hundred bucks just to get in the door. Mott Street offers decent quality action at about HALF the going rates.

2.) LOCATION: Mott Street is easy to get to wherever you are in the city. It's in a discreet location where no one tries to jam you up or make you feel like a stranger. With all the foot traffic around Chinatown, you can blend right in with the locals.

3.) SERVICE! I can't emphasize this enough!! This is one of the BIG reasons why Mott Street is reviewed so often. With low prices and attentive staff, the ladies at Mott Street will easily turn you into a repeat customer. They might not be lookers, but the service they give you is far more than what most AMP's will do. (NOTE: YMMV).

With all this COVID-19 BS, money is tight all around, so we've got to think about our wallets. Mott Street is one of those holes in the wall that provides good service without breaking the bank. As for the other AMP's, we haven't forgotten them. But we'll have to wait until this outbreak blows over to see which ones are left. And for the record, there are four other boroughs in NYC with AMP's. Check out the threads in Brooklyn and Queens.

I never been to Mott, do I need to call or just walk in? Are they still open at the moment? If so what time? I'm an out of towner with planned travel to NYC in late June, hoping that all activity will be back to normal or at least close to it by then. I've got my wish list in order, and I'm hoping to check 98 m, EBS, and Canal Lisa off my list, along with a visit to Hill Country bbq thrown in for good measure. Two questions. Does Lisa work as an indy or in a shop, and how do I go about finding her? I found plenty of info about the red door spot, but can't seem to find anything about the Canal location. Don't know anything about the 3rd floor, I don't have any rapport with them.

There was a guard sitting there and a sign on the door that said be back in one minute. The guard waved to me, but never opened the door. I left after like 20 seconds of pretending to be on my phone. LOL.
