Plan C:. Go to T mobile and buy a $20 SIM card to put in your phone. Unless you are using Verizon or Sprint, you use a sim card. Been doing this for years, only ONE phone and the car works great. The latest SIM card I got from T mobile (using their pay as you go plan so not a monthly contract, you recharge in $10 increments using a card you can get at CVS, etc). Google voice will give you a second number which you can give to providers when you txt or call them. You can even have your caller I'd show up as this number when you want. I've been using it for years and it really gives me some peace of mind to know that there aren't any providers out there with my actual phone number. Best of all, it's free!
