I think they will do as they have written considering he literally implemented it on day 1 (it looks good on paper and the eyes of the public) and it also shares the same importance as the economic and other actions he took. If those jurisdictions (in the North) want a budget they can't buck his requests. All the gals I have seen were voluntary, open with no signs of abuse, of age and worked for themselves as best I could tell. If anything was not as stated above I left. Mongering with ethics you can call it, but the problem is that this is the worlds oldest profession, it will make it higher risk and people will be more likely to commit crime (rob, etc) using their "services" as a lure. I think this will create more problems. Plus some of these gals only know / are able to make money like this. If people stop coming they may resort to other means (as noted above). People will just go elsewhere or completely underground which is even worse and will also possibly increase the trafficking, etc as a result. Just sum thots.
One thing to consider that these politicians and police do not realize. The largest financial backers via donations that these numbskulls receive are from the very same massage parlors. There's the unspoken rule of business where they, by legal means, pay the cops to look the other way.
I doubt they will see that money come in should they take up arms and effectively bite the hands that feed them. So in the end the parlors and mongers won't be the only ones hurt by this decree, everyone's on this ship in some way shape or form so if it sinks.

I guess we'll all stay glued to the news for the next while, I'll stay home and jerk it, but I don't see what this really changes. They nuked backpage and CL, and bedpage went up (pale by comparison), and SA filled the gap and changed the game. Cue the rise of OF, more independents and GPS.
Note they say "increasing targeting of" which suggests they were already targeting them, and looking into tax compliance. There was a FS-friendly place in the burg that was shut down shortly after opening for not having a business license or somesuch. It worked on Capone, right? All they're saying is that they're going to do more of what they're supposedly already doing. Also note the emphasis on human trafficking, which I feel confident saying no one on this board supports or condones. I like how they low level encourage people to squeal on their neighbors, which all of the self-deputized neighborhood busybodies were already doing. Also worth keeping in mind, these measures are put in place to address or crack down on things we probably never interact with or see, like real no BS trafficking.
Maybe I'm just naive. All of my go to places are clean, staffed by healthy adults (like 30 and over) who seem well-fed and enthusiastic about what they do. I typically avoid AMP's that are really obvious about offering FS, as well as those that are in apartment complexes or private homes; independents obviously a different issue. A clean-looking storefront is there, I'd assume, because someone paid the taxes and has a business license. I look at AMP's in a similar way to how I would view any retailer in that I assume they're above board unless I see something out of place, like a girl sleeping on the couch in plain sight.
Not a legal expert by any means, but allow me to put forth a hypothetical: say you go to a grocery store or bodega. You go there to pick up something: batteries and nutella. You eye an exotic looking girl stocking the shelves, she eyes you back. You strike up flirty conversation, sparks fly, planets align, and she leads you to the storeroom where you have a quickie against a pallet of corn pops. No questions were asked, consent was implied. In gratitude, you slip a benji or 2 into her back pocket because you're a nice guy.
Was a crime just commited? Did you go to the store with the intention of paying a woman for sex? Did she intend to sell you sex? Was there a spoken agreement before or after anything happened to have sex for money? Did you force yourself on her? What if she says you did either to cover her ass or if she's pressured by the cops (or if they're lying to entrap you)? Why were you there? Did you go to the store with the intention of paying a woman for sex? Did you know how old she was? Did you know she was not legally in this country?
If I was stopped by a LEO, I first wouldn't say anything, show my I'd and cooperate, but these are the questions I run through my head. I went there for a massage. I was passing by, saw the bright neon sign that says "massage". No, I don't know anything about sexual services. No, I don't know where they get their employees, why would I? They're allowed to be open for business, can't a reasonable person assume they're above board? What do you mean in a "sexual" way? You know some people consider their ankles "erogenous zones"? You have what on video, without my consent? You mean once the lights went way down and you couldn't see anything? It's a "tip" left voluntarily for services rendered (the massage), not a "payment". What if she gave me a handy, is that illegal? I thought she just liked me. She said what? Well she's lying, I came in for a massage, nothing more. Etc.

The guns are not possessed. Its the person who is pure evil. We will see his face soon. I don't think DC has capital punishment. Mayor B is taking DC down a bad road.
