I've notices a massive increase in fake scam (required deposit) ads on alligator and STG. Lately, I've spent way too much time texting back and forth with these scammers trying to see how long I can string them along. It's my little self gratifying game. I guess I feel like every minute I can keep them occupied (and frustrated), is one less minute that you guys have to deal with it. Sometimes I pretend I can't figure out paypal. Sometimes I pretend I've sent the payment to the wrong user. One time I wrote, "Ok, I sent a Venmo payment to $$XXXXXX- They respond with, "No you idiot, send paypal. That's not my Venmo address. " I ask, "so what's your venmo? They respond with the new address. I then say, "OK, sent you the paypal payment to your venmo".
Hilarity ensues.
