They tie in the gun shot detection with dispatch and local security cameras as well as possible historical footage (haven't found for how long that footage is kept, but you can assume that if the footage is part of a previous incident it's stored on there for a while), all of it with search and filter capabilities. They're looking to massively expand the network and tie in the new upgraded city security cameras as well as possible private / business cameras. (think amzn ring, etc).
