It mainly depends on what part of town they are in. At least two of my ATFs worked out of their homes and I never even thought about that except that occasionally someone might come knocking at the door but since I pretty much always play during the daytime it's easier to get a feel for the neighborhood. Plus I very seldom see anyone that doesn't have at least 2 or 3 reviews by people that I am somewhat familiar with. Now days it's way to dangerous to take one for the team too often. I might do it once in a while but she has to make me feel comfortable and give me some kind of way to check her out.
As you said though if she is rude and unprofessional, I don't blame you for bailing out.

But she was just rude and didn't give me the warm fuzzy feeling and that's a red flag for me. Most providers are like sales people they want your business but would deal with a rude sales person?
