Unless there are laws that are actively being enforced, it really depends on the crowd, dancer, bouncer, dj, manager, how much you are spending, level of lighting, the wind, the phase of the moon, whether it is an odd or even day. YMMV. Don't be a dick if a dancer or bouncer says no just pay your tab and leave.
