You never have to answer questions
First rule is to always keep your mouth shut. Unless you're being detained, you don't have to answer any questions. They can't prove what you were doing there unless they have cameras set up, which is illegal.
Even if you're being detained.

And Fairfax cops were protecting actual traffickers
Wow. Fairfax County Police? That's fucked. Also makes me wonder how many stings Fairfax has going on right now. Maybe I'll just stick with agencies now.
This was an actual abusive trafficking operation, where the women were lured from Costa Rica with promises of legit work, then shown pictures of their children back home and warned that they'd be harmed if the women didn't work for them. They'd hold the women's passports to keep them from leaving.
The woman running the operation was named Hazel Marie Sanchez Cerdas, and went by "Andrea. " She and her husband made hundreds of thousands of dollars in Nova alone, and kept nearly all of it. They also ran or worked with operations in Tampa, New York, and other cities, so this no doubt involved millions of dollars and dozens of actual victims.
I wonder which Fairfax condo this was, and hope I didn't go to any of their locations. Anyone recognize details of which outfit this was?
Here's the FBI affidavit for the criminal complaint, detailing the operation.

The sad part is that this is someone who actually used threats and fear to intimidate women, and she barely did two years in prison. Meanwhile, the cops arrest people seeking to engage in consensual activity, announce "anti-trafficking arrests," and the media unquestioningly reports it.
