The place with the quarters is Lusty Lady and last time I checked, it was still open. Its also the only unionized jack-shack in SF. Power Exchange is a sex club, upstairs is gay and downstairs is straight. It is like most swingers places in the sense that there are many desperate single males present.
The male-female ratio means that you must not actually think you are going to get laid in there.
Also the place is crawling with transsexuals, pre and post-op. The novelty gets old fast and for me are a huge nuisance.
I suspect some of the S+M stuff is either staged by people who get cash from the club, or simply S+M proividers who have their clients meet them at the club. So much of it is fake.
Occasionally they get some freaky girl or couple where all comers are welcome, but that is not the usual case.
It is a freak show and very strange. If your goal is to have sex with a female, I'd suggest somewhere else.

I visited mbot Dec. 20th. Here are my expriences:
I went here after a long time. The first bad news was they stopped the lesbian show in the theatre. That used to be hot. The guy at the counter told me they were not very profitable so they discontinued it. This place was almost empty at around 6 pm. Picked up a bit by 9 pm or so but still not much happening. Is it the economy or is this club loosing its appeal?
The shows:
Green door: The shows were good Mia was the most enthusiastic performer, always smiling. But the show had about 4-5 customers on an average. nobody on the tables and no one indulged in table dances.
