If you have a good lawyer, you will be OK. It will be very tough to prosecute based on such testimony. Your lawyer will make sure you don't say anything and to help the other side. It will likely come down to someone said something for which there is no evidence.

A great big so what. Anyone can call with a tag number and say anything and your lawyer will make sure that the word of an unreliable witness is the only evidence which adds up to no evidence at all. So somebody picked a driver of a car to harass; doesn't mean anything ever happened at all.

Then why not protect one you do know? If he was set for a court date, the attorney would have her name. No problems.
