Thursday night / Friday morning
I hit the Wilkens track on Thursday night for the first time in a while. I had stopped coming out due to bad dates and lack of alluring talent.
There wasn't a lot of talent out, even though it was warm. But it wasn't completely uneventful:
Two dead bodies were found recently in the junkyard on McPhail (north of Pratt). They're in the process of tearing the yard out.
A car sped past me by WSC heading east on Pratt and smashed into a parked car over by Furrow.
In the morning around 0930, a young guy was shot on Payson, south of Wilkens. Cameras showed the shooter was fighting with another man, and cops thought the shooter had run into a house by the corner store by the triangle (he hadn't). Swat, helicopter, and all the fixings.
Detectives are also talking to girls about a monger who has raped multiple women in the past year. And he still visits the Wilkens track as of a few days ago.
As far as talent, I saw Kiara but no one else even remotely interesting, so it was another wasted trip to the Wilkens (and MP) tracks.
Be safe out there.
