I'm going to post this here not as any paid advertisement, but as something I almost gave up on when they went to their pain in the ass purchasing model using crypto.

Facecheck. I'd has been a huge help navigating Seeking. You save a picture of someone's face from their profile, the add it to the facecheck site and it uses an algorithm to match the picture to other faces online. Usually social media profiles. Insta, tiktok, facebook, linkedin -, a surprising number of poshmark accounts, but also sometimes arrest blotters that have pictures. Just this week I've relatively quickly spotted a few fake profiles using pictures of women that don't even live in the state, a woman who based on her tiktoks is unhinged as hell, and another that just got out of jail a month or so ago (no hate. Maybe she's a good person, but if I'm being cautious it's not where I'm going to spend my time). I tried Pimeye which advertises to be similar, but not only would it not pull up matches when facecheck would, but most of the time it's pulling a cdn record of an image, so unless I'm just too dumb, I can't figure out how to get from a cdn record to an actual profile of sorts to dig deeper.

I almost gave up when they switched to a paid crypto model, but I'm glad I didn't. I downloaded coinbase, use paypal via coinbase to buy litecoin, they transfer the litecoin to facecheck. A pain? Yes. But has it saved me from all sorts of wasted time or potential bs, yes. The first time you purchase litecoin and do the whole process it takes a while for each transaction, but once you've done it before I think I do the whole thing in 1-2 min now. $20 here and there despite hating their pricing model has been so worth it.
